They continued talking about the dog and then decided to sleep again. Some hours later, around 3 AM, a group of people arrived. It turned out that they were the ones who had brought the two dogs. They greeted each other, and Dani prepared to summit the peak of Gunung Parang in the morning.
The next morning, after preparing their equipment, they left the campsite around 5:18 AM, reaching the peak at about 5:30 AM. They took the descent to a valley and then climbed back up, passing steep cliffs. After meeting their friends who had reached the peak earlier, they took photos and videos together. Afterward, they had a meal to regain their strength before heading back down.
They began descending at around 7:20 AM, arriving back at the pilgrimage site at 7:37 AM. They were exhausted and took a break before packing up their tents. As Dani was editing the video later, he realized that what he had thought was a ghost near his friend's tent was just dry leaves resembling the shape of a ghost. This experience taught them not to panic in the forest and always stay positive.
Later, while they were talking with a group that had arrived at 3 AM, someone shared a similar experience at the pilgrimage site. They mentioned hearing sounds around the tent and the tent being shaken when they camped there alone. This story made Dani even more afraid since it matched his own experience from the previous night.
After saying goodbye to the group, they started descending around 8:30 AM. Along the way, they got confused at a junction and had to decide which path to take. Luckily, they chose the right one and made it to Post 1, where they rested.
Suddenly, they saw an old man wearing white clothes walking up from below. Dani noticed that the old man looked a bit annoyed and mentioned that he had greeted them earlier, but they hadn’t responded.
Old man: "Why didn’t you respond when I greeted you?"
They were surprised since they hadn’t heard anything from him before. The old man revealed he was the guardian of Gunung Parang, specifically responsible for the Buhun Trail. He told them that many people experienced similar things like what Dani had, where the sounds or figures couldn’t be explained. He then said, "Don’t think evil only exists in the forest; even in cities, there’s evil. What’s important is that our hearts aren’t empty. When hiking in the forest, don’t be arrogant. Always ask for permission and keep your heart pure."
This was the story that Dani wanted to share, hoping that everyone would stay safe and protected.
That is all and thank you.
