I had a serious problem. It would be best if you weren't this perplexed and intrigued by a girl when your name is Oliver Moore. It was twisted but held so much of my mind's consciousness throughout school.

I'd met Rory at the store yesterday, having caught her staring at Liam and me as we searched for groceries. When I tell you I've never seen a girl that gorgeous standing there completely unbothered and perfect, I'm dead serious.

She was every guy's fantasy on lonely nights, I swear.

I tried to get her to go to our annual before-school party but when she pulled away from me, taking her soft hair that I'd curled around my fingers, she'd slipped away, refusing me and challenging me.

No one had ever rejected me. I was... well I was me.

Now, I might've lied this morning when telling her I'd been blue at the party with her missing presence, but she didn't need to know what I'd truly done to get her off my mind. I want to go to blatantly tell her I'd messed around like usual and fucked some girl from our school until I'd had my fill for the night.

It wasn't the same; this girl wasn't like any other girl I'd ever met. Rory was my first challenge and it awakened my soul. A fiery desire burned in me.

Want wasn't the right word for her. I needed her.

She seemed so peaceful as if nothing bad had ever stepped foot in her presence. I for some reason found myself wanting to destroy that. I wanted to step into her world and completely wreck it to have her. It was what someone like me did.

God, I could just imagine the things I'd do to her if I got her alone. The very inappropriate things I'd do to her.

"She's off limits man. You heard Faith." Liam, my very annoying best friend says as we sit at our lunch table and he catches me staring across the cafeteria at Rory. I turn toward Liam, giving him a deadpan look. "You only listen to Faith because she has you wrapped around her little finger. Or should I say, around her body?"

Liam slams a hand to the back of my neck, a loud slap sounding as I wince. "The shit you spew is crazy talk and you know it, Ollie. I've never crossed that line with Faith and you know it." Oh, sure I did.

Liam, Faith, and I had practically been raised together, our mothers having been best friends since they were in college. Once we'd all grown a right mind it was clear to see how head over heels Liam was for Faith. He'd listen to anything she'd say while I'd do my best to defy Faith's orders.

Faith had boyfriends over the years, and coincidentally so, every time anyone mentioned said boyfriends, Liam was a dickhead and awfully moody. He could fight all he wanted but that man was Faith's dog, constantly after her and in dire need of her attention.
