POV: Balance

I shook my head no and tried to make myself look smaller. Hopefully, I would appear less intimidating that way. Proxima looked at me with that hard stare, then motioned for me to follow him. I had looked over my shoulder to see Light looking at M̧̱͔̫̼̠̤̖ͥĖ̶͓̪̑̾ with confusion. I shrugged it off and looked forward and tripped on the stairs to the tower. I fell face-first into the dirt, again.

I groaned as I stood up again. "That's the second time now in one day." I thought to myself in frustration. "Come on clumsy, hurry up." General Proxima said to me in a stern tone. I nodded and quickened my pace to keep up with his brisk one. I followed him to wherever he was taking me.

----{POV switch and time skip----

POV: Proxima

I sat with the Steve called Balance in front of me. I was giving him a hard and judgmental look. He seemed to be intimidated by it, witch was good. "Now that we're seated, it's time for me to ask you some questions." I said, my voice held an edge to it. "Who are you and where do you come from?" I asked. The multi colored Steve had responded with "I am Balance and I don't think you'll believe me even if I told you."

I got frustrated but continued anyway. "How did you get here?" I asked. "Through that rift that was on the hill." he answered. I nodded knowing it was a possibility like how Light ended up in our universe. But what concerned me was the black stuff on him. "What is that black stuff on you?"

Balance shifted in his seat. "Unknown energy." he said blankly. I gritted my teeth together, he was avoiding answering important questions. "How about those energy vain things on your body? More specifically the golden ones." I asked, trying to keep my voice calm. "That is classified information, I'm sorry General Proxima."

That just mad me mad but I just ignored it so I could get as much information before I started questioning him on how he was avoiding answering. "What type of Steve are you?" I asked. He responded with "I am a Light Steve sir, or well I mostly am. It's complicated." My eye twitched in irritation.

Time for the biggest question. "Now, do you work for the Soul Eater or Void?" I asked, my voice dead clam and my eyes narrowed at him. Balance tilted his head in confusion. "I don't know who the Soul Eater guy is but-" He was interrupted by yelling and explosions outside.

"Dang it! Stay here and don't move!" I yelled at the Steve I was in the middle of questioning. I then rushed out of the building to join whatever fight there was going on.
