I Don't Belong Here... Chapter 3

"He's been drinking again Brian...i don't want him to hurt me or Kyle again..." Emily finally told me. we sat in the living room with a cup of hot coffee.

"I know he's been drink. what do you mean hurt you and kyle again?" i looked at her. puzzled. i didn't know anything that happens between Zack or Emily.

"He use to get really gobby at me and push me around, literally! then when i was pregnant, he pushed me into walls and hit me. Kyle was so close to death..." Emily admitted. i didn't know what to say after that. i felt like a bad friend for not helping her.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?"

"Encase he took it out on me...i didn't wont to rat him out, i'm not like that." she had a few tears roll down her face.

"look i'm here now. if he lays a finger on you, i'm punching him to the ground." i promised her. i wrapped my arms around her and kissed her forehead. before you think anything, she's my sister. before we knew it, the front door slammed open. it was Zack.

"Emily!" he yelled.

"i'll sort it out sis." i whispered to her before getting up off the sofa. "Zack?" i looked at him. he had a huge bouquet of red roses for Emily.

"Do you think she'll like them?" he whispered over to me with a grin...i think he's had a change of heart or something...

"i think she'll-"

"oh my god i love them!" well that answered the question for me. Emily ran over to Zack and gave him a hug that almost floored him! (LOL) she looked over to me. she was actually smiling for once! "Thank you babe." she said to Zack.

"arww your welcome honey." he kissed her on the cheek.

"i'm gonna but these in some water." she said as she took the flowers into the kitchen.

"So do you want to explain what you've done?" i told him with a serious look on my face.

"About what?"

"What's been happening between you and Emily?" i whisper yelled.

"upstairs." he walked up the stairs and i followed him. i shut the door behind us. "What has she told you?" he asked.

"Everything from you drinking, you shouting at her for no reason, you pushing her around and harming her and Kyle." Zack's face dropped.

"she's lying!" he fought back.

"No why would she lie? she's the most honest person i know! explain why you bought flowers for her as soon as i moved in?" i started to play good cop bad cop with him.

"because she's my girlfriend...duh!"

"That's not true is it?" i looked him in the eye.

"why would i lie to you?"

"because you've done it many times in the past Zack." Zack looked at me as if to say 'get out!' he wasn't gonna crack!

"Guys whats all the shouting about?" Emily said as she walked into the room with Kyle. we looked over to her. "What? what have you done now?"

Did Emily over hear everything they said? Is Zack really lying? Is Brian gonna let this one pass or is he gonna fight back?
