Sidney swayed on her feet as she waited outside the sorority house. She had had a surprisingly good time at the party, meeting new people but she'd missed her boyfriend the whole evening. But Randy had had a late class and then had to study for an exam so he couldn't have come with her. He had promised to pick her up when she was done though.

Maybe she'd had a little too much wine, her head spun and it seemed impossible to stand still. She wrapped her own arms around herself, looking back at the house. She bit her lower lip, wondering if she should go back inside to wait but then a car pulled over by the driveway and Sidney could see Randy behind the wheel.

She rushed over to the car, struggling a little with the door handle before she could get the passenger door open and she could hear Randy laughing.

"Had fun, huh?" He said teasingly as Sidney practically collapsed in the seat next to him and he immediately leaned in to steal a quick kiss from her wine laced lips.

"Mmh, it was...okay..." Sidney mumbled, her eyes falling shut as she reached out to wrap her arms around Randy's neck, keeping him close so she could kiss him again, not satisfied with just a quick kiss.

Randy chuckled against her lips but indulged her, how could he not. He kissed her softly but passionately, reaching out a hand to tuck her hair behind her ear.

"God, I missed you though..." She whispered then, their lips brushing still as neither wanted to pull away just yet.

Randy smiled and gently nipped on her lower lip, cupping her cheek. He always loved to hear that she missed him, it validated his own feelings as he always missed her when they weren't together. It didn't feel so silly if she missed him too, just as much.

"Missed you too, Sid..." He said softly and was about to kiss her again when there was a knock on the window, making them both startle and pull apart.

"Hey! Hey Sidney!" Some jock Sidney couldn't remember the name of kept knocking on the window, clearly drunk and Sidney instinctively reached to lock the door. "Come on, ditch the loser weirdo, there's another party going on, we could go have some real fun."

Randy frowned as he leaned back to his seat, putting his hands on the steering wheel. Of course Sidney would have attracted some attention at the party, images of her dancing and laughing with other men flashed in his eyes, his insecurities coming to surface.

But then there was a hand on his thigh, a gentle hand and Randy turned to look at Sidney who was glaring at the jock. "Fuck off, I'm not interested." She said and gave Randy's thigh a squeeze before turning to face him, an apologetic look on her face.

"Don't listen to them, let's go..." She said softly, completely ignoring the other guy and Randy was more than happy to drive off, leaving the dude yelling drunken insults after them.

They sat in silence for a moment as Randy drove, keeping his eyes firmly on the road and he was half convinced Sidney had fallen asleep. He nearly jumped in his seat when she suddenly spoke.

"Sorry about him...he...he tried to hit on me at the party..." Sidney confessed, her voice quiet and Randy stole a quick glance of her.

"Oh..." He didn't know what to say to that. It wasn't the first time he'd heard someone had flirted with her. It happened constantly, even right in front of him sometimes. And he would be lying if said it didn't affect him, of course it did. It was a painful reminder how Sidney could have anyone, anyone more handsome than him, more popular than him.

"Randy..." Sidney said with a sigh and Randy hated the disappointed tone in her voice. It made him want to hide, to curl in on himself, which he obviously couldn't do while driving.
