"Every door leads somewhere different, and I don't know how many wrong choices we can afford."

READY?
Everything was blurry. She heard voices, but they seemed far away, like in a dream.
"Hello? Can you hear me? Wake up," one voice said, sounding a little worried.
Another voice spoke, softer but unsure. "Is she dead?"
"No, idiot," the third voice snapped, annoyed. "She's breathing."
She blinked slowly, her eyes heavy. The three girls in front of her started coming into focus. Her head pounded, and for a moment, nothing made sense. She couldn't remember where she was or how she got there. The girls kept staring, waiting for her to move.
After a few seconds, everything cleared. The room, the faces—it all snapped into place. She gasped and jumped up, heart racing as if she'd been jolted awake from a bad dream.
"Told you she ain't dead," the girl closest to her said, smirking. The other two just exchanged glances.
"W-where am I?" The girl stuttered.
The girl standing closest to her gave a small smile. "Hell," she said, then quickly added. "Just kidding."
The girl blinked, still confused. "What do you mean? Where are we?"
The other girl shrugged. "I don't know. I woke up here, just like you."
"Ok, uhm." The girl started patting the back of her pants, trying to find her phone, but came up empty.
"If you're looking for your phone, it's gone," a voice said, casual like it was no big deal.
Mora spun around. "What do you mean, gone? It was literally in my pocket!" she snapped.
"Should we just tell her?" one of the girls whispered, eyeing Mora.
The other girl shrugged. "Might as well."
The first girl took a breath and stepped forward. "Alright, look. You ain't the only one. Everyone here showed up confused just like you. Phones, bags, everything we had... gone. Poof."
Mora stared at her, not buying it. "Gone? How does that even happen?"
The second girl chimed in, "It just does. It's freaky, but all of us—same story. One minute we're doing our thing, next minute we're here. No phone, no nothing. Like it just disappeared."
