Northern Beijing, mid-October.
In the most luxurious private room of a high-end private club, several young girls are toasting and partying.
Wen Qian drank three glasses of wine in a row and could barely stand.
The woman beside her asked her, "Wen Qian, how are you? Can you still walk?"
"Hiccup... Of course... Hiccup... I can go." Wen Qian's fair cheeks were stained with a rich crimson color, reflecting a shallow dimple. "It's getting late. I have to go first. You, you guys continue."
"It's only nine o'clock, let's play for a while." said another person.
"My house has curfew, and I have to be home before ten o'clock. Let's do it another day." Wen Qian bent down, picked up the bag thrown on the coffee table, and staggered towards the door.
Someone called her, "Wen Xi, how can you drive back like this? Wait a minute, I'll ask the driver to take you."
Wen Qian stopped, turned around slowly, curved her eyebrows and chuckled: "My brother asked the driver to pick me up."
"Your brother loves you too much."
"Who said I'm his sister?"
After saying that, Wen Qian pushed the door and walked out.
The high-end club had good soundproofing, and the corridor was relatively quiet. Wen Qian's cell phone rang, and she took it out of her bag and answered the call, "Hello, Mom."
Ms. Qi's gentle voice came from the other end of the receiver, "It's nine o'clock, aren't you going home yet?"
Wen Qian: "Hic...back."
Ms. Qi: "Have you been drinking?"
"Yeah, I drank a little." Wen Qian said with a smile.
"Don't drink and drive. I'll ask Lao Wang to pick you up."
"No, my brother has already asked the driver to pick me up."
While Wen Qian was talking on the phone, she brushed past a man walking towards her. Perhaps it was because the man's aura was too strong, or because she had drunk too much tonight, but as she was walking, her legs went weak and she fell to one side, right onto the man.
The phone fell off and onto the ground. Ms. Qi could still be heard asking on the other end of the receiver, "Xixi, Xixi, what are you doing?"
Time stood still. Wen Qian looked up at the man in front of her. In her blurred vision, she could only see his rough outline. He was a very handsome man.
As for the facial features...
She couldn't drink much, and she felt dizzy and her vision was blurry, unable to see anything clearly.
She blinked slowly, straightened up, and said, "Thank you."
Just as she was about to bend down to pick up the phone on the ground, the man picked it up first and handed it to her. The voice was the most magnetic one Wen Qian had ever heard before, deep and mellow, refreshing to the ears.
Wen Qian heard him say, "You're welcome."
She took the phone and thanked him again: "Thank you."
The man's cell phone rang. He glanced at her indifferently, took out the phone from his pocket and answered it.
This episode was just a trivial matter for Wen Qian tonight. After expressing her thanks, she continued to walk forward with a staggering step.
