Wen Qian's face was still red when she returned home. Qi Huixue came up to her, looked at her and asked her if she was feeling unwell.

Wen Qian shook her head, "No."

Aunt Liu brought her some crucian carp soup, saying it was good for the baby in her belly and would help the baby grow fast.

Wen Qian didn't want to drink it at first, but after hearing about the baby, she stepped back from the stairs, took the bowl, and drank half of it in one gulp.

Qi Huixue handed over a tissue, "Hey, little ancestor, drink slowly, why are you in such a hurry?"

Wen Qian didn't know what she was in a hurry for. She just wanted to go upstairs quickly. After finishing her drink, she wiped her lips while going upstairs. Halfway through, she turned back and hugged Qi Huixue, "Mom, you are so nice."

Qi Huixue touched her forehead and asked, "Are you really sick?"

Wen Xi pulled her hand down, "I'm not sick."

Letting go of Qi Huixue's hand, she turned around and went upstairs again. Aunt Liu asked her if she wanted to eat some fruit.

  She said: "Oranges."

Her taste has changed a lot since she got pregnant. She doesn't like sweet food anymore and prefers sour food.

Aunt Liu: "Where are the loquats?"

  Wen Qian: "Have some too."

She leaned on the handrail of the stairs and looked down, "Aunt Liu, give me some sour plums."

Aunt Liu looked up and said, "Okay, bring some."

Wen Qian went upstairs and went straight back to the bedroom, closed the door, sat in front of the dressing mirror, looked at her blushing face in the mirror, raised her hand and patted her chest, trying to ease her pounding heartbeat, but it didn't work, her heart was still beating very fast.

She thought about what happened in the car again.

She boldly blurted out and asked Shang Mo, "You don't like me, do you?"

Time stood still. In her peripheral vision, she saw Shang Mo's Adam's apple rolling again and again, and his slender fingers on the steering wheel curled up.

The light from outside slanted in through the car window, spreading behind him and illuminating his slender neck. She saw the blue veins on it moving.

He pursed his lips, as if thinking about how to answer.

She suddenly regretted asking such a question. It would be so embarrassing if it was not the answer.

The moment he opened his mouth, she interrupted him, pointed at the small vendor outside the window and said, "I want to eat candied haws."

Shang Mo spread out his curled fingers and hummed, "Okay, I'll go buy it."

The car door opened and closed, and cold wind rushed in. Wen Qian sobered up a lot. She slapped her face and thought to herself that the temperature in the car must be too high, which gave her an illusion, otherwise how could she dare to ask such a question.

They got married because of pregnancy, so how could they love each other?

  but......

A small, negligible voice in my heart popped up at the right time, maybe... who knows.

Wen Qian didn't get the answer she wanted to hear in the end. She ate her candied haws and stole a glance at Shang Mo. She saw that his jaw was taut and he was driving with a cold expression. The charm just now disappeared in an instant.
