Christmas Special: Hyunjin

Your manager and you walked into Parastars Entertainment and removed your sunglasses only to see the receptionist on the phone while at her desk typing away. She glanced up to wave at you before holding 4 fingers up letting you know that Hyunjin was on the 4th floor. You bowed to her in thanks and hurried over to the elevator with your manager.

You were a popular rapper/producer soloist for YG Entertainment and you had to leave in a few hours for the airport to go overseas for a couple of weeks due to your schedule. Which was going to make you miss Christmas with your family and with Hyunjin for the first time in 3 years.

As the elevator dinged on the 4th floor, the two of you walked out to head down to the dance studio where Hyunjin was always at for practice. Your manager walked you to the door, and stepped back to go sit down in the hall so you could spend a little bit with Hyunjin. You opened the door to see him laying down on the floor with his eyes shut while breathing heavily.

"Is this a bad time?" You teasingly say towards him. His eyes popped open upon hearing your voice, and tilted his head back to see you waving at him from the door. He quickly got up and rushed over to give you a big sweaty hug, happy to see you as he hasn't for a few days.

"Never a bad time for you. I was just taking a quick break before I head to go eat some lunch. Did you want to join me? The other 2 are recording but they should be done by then." He asks you, forgetting you had to leave for a flight soon.

"I already ate but thank you for the invite. I have to leave for the airport soon, but I wanted to bring you your present before I left." You tell him while reaching into your tote bag to pull out a box with green wrapping paper all on it.

"I'm better at rapping than wrapping so it's not the best looking. " You tell him while holding his present out towards him. He lightly takes it from you and sets it down to give you a quick hug and a kiss.

"What is it?" He asks while picking it up to shake it up and down to hear what it may be.

"Just open it already. I want to see your reaction"

He sits down on the ground which you did the same. Hyunjin was finally able to unwrap it only to see it said Cartier on the box. He quickly looked up at your face to see if it was a prank but he could tell that it wasn't.

"I wasn't too sure on what to get you, but I spoke to Hyunjin from StrayKids to get his opinion and he said that it is a limited edition necklace that comes out after christmas. I know you aren't a big jewelry fan but I hope you like it." You tell him while looking down at the floor, a bit nervous for his reaction.

He was quiet for a moment, not speaking, or doing anything. Just staring at the necklace that was in his hand. You glanced up at him to see him looking straight at you with a hint of a smile on his face. Your cheeks gave away your reaction to him staring at you with a fond look in his eyes.

"Thank you, I appreciate it. I wish you would be here on christmas to give it to me but I understand you have to travel." Hyunjin told you while slightly pulling on your hand to bring you into a tight hug.

"I'm really sorry that I won't be with you. It wasn't my choice as I'm sure you know." You say to him while pulling away from the hug.

"We can just celebrate when you get back. The boys told me to tell you that they will miss you." He tells you while walking over to his duffle that was placed against the wall. He rummaged through it for a moment only to pull out a small, red, box that was no bigger than his palm. He waved you to come over, and you did very slowly, very nervous at what he is giving you for christmas.

"This isn't exactly the way I planned to do this" Hyunjin slowly started to say while walking even closer to you to take your hand.

"Y/N, my one and only, we have been through so much in the past few years that we've experienced together. I know we are still somewhat young, but this isn't an engagement ring at least not yet. I want to do that properly but this is a promise ring. It signifies that I will be loyal and devoted to you till the end of time. So, what I'm asking is, will you accept it? At least until I can get you a ring that you deserve?" Hyunjin says to you, while patiently waiting for your answer.

You rub your teary eyes while shaking your head 'yes' to his question. He starts to smile at your response while taking the promise ring out of its confinement to put onto your empty ring finger on your left hand. After he put the ring on your finger, you grabbed him into a hug with a quick peck on his lips.

"As much as I'd love to celebrate with you, I have to leave to catch my plane. But we will definitely celebrate when I get back." You regrettably tell him while back away to leave.

The two of you speak for another moment before you had to leave. As soon as you got to the door, you turned around to glance back at him only to see him still watching you. You waved your hand and opened the door which made your manager stand up from where they were sat.

"Is that a ring I see?" Your manager teasingly tells you while setting a hand on your back to start guiding you into the waiting elevator.

"Maybe it is or maybe it isn't. It's not the official one, it's a promise ring" You tell your manager after a few moments before you start walking out of the elevator. The manager just laughs while opening the back door to the company car, for you to get in and get comfortable.

"Ouuu, do tell, do tell, give me the details" You hear someone say, you glance up to see one of the blackpink members, Rose looking at you. You just chuckle a little at her response and get in the car to sit in the spot next to her. You look out the window, only to see the Big Ocean boys standing inside the building waving to you. You wave back really quick hoping they saw you.
