"When unknown forces collide and opposites bind,
Nothing shall be in/finite
A higher truth awakens, reshaping the mind.
The stars will shift, and worlds will twist,
A fragile chain undone by a fleeting twist.
Light breathes through darkness, as dark feeds the light,
Together they weave the essence of night.
Yet one outwits the matrix, the boundless design,
As infinity falters, the veil shall decline,
Revealing the unique one realm where the incomprehensible one shines."
Remember a poem going like this, but where did I here this, was this told to me before they left ?? Or am I imagining things, but this thing is too complicated to be memorized, nevermind such a dumpster poem, but still was it all a dream or hallucinations but I'm not the only one who knows this. As I wondered it to myself a bright light flashed at me, it was the sun.
The sun was setting over the small village of Cerynth, casting a warm golden hue over the quiet streets. The orphanage, nestled at the village's edge, was alive with the sounds of children playing and laughter echoing through the air. The world, for the moment, felt peaceful, as though the weight of existence was a distant thought.
I stood in the yard, watching as my two closest friends, Kaori and Shu, ran around the grassy field with carefree energy. Kaori, her long brown hair swaying as she dashed back and forth, was always the more lively one of us. Shu, a bit more reserved but still full of laughter, chased after her, trying to tag her. We'd spent countless hours like this, enjoying the simplicity of youth in a world that often felt too heavy to bear.
"Yoshino!" Kaori called out, waving at me as she stopped in front of me, out of breath. "You're too quiet again! Come on, play with us!"
I smiled faintly, shaking my head. "You two are faster than I'll ever be."
Shu grinned and nudged me with his elbow. "We've got time. Don't let it slip away."
Those moments were precious. They were all I had—peace, laughter, and the warmth of the orphanage. Emi, our caretaker, watched us with a gentle smile from the window. She had always been like a mother to me. The woman who raised us, guided us, and kept us safe. I never thought a day would come where I'd lose everything she had given me.
But it did.
The sudden tremor shook the ground beneath us, so violently that the grass seemed to ripple like water. Kaori's laughter was cut short as the air itself seemed to tremble. Then, without warning, a deafening light split the sky. A sudden sound of tearing, cracking, and the air growing thick with an energy I couldn't comprehend. And that was just the beginning.
From the horizon, a rift appeared in the sky—black and violet, swirling like a vortex that threatened to swallow the world whole. We all froze, staring at it in disbelief, as the first of the creatures emerged. Massive, Orcs with eyes glowing a wicked red. Their forms shifted like shadows in the night, their presence as unnatural as the rift itself.
My heart pounded in my chest. I turned to Kaori, my voice trembling. "What is that? What's happening?"
Kaori's face had drained of color, her usual confidence replaced by terror. "I... I don't know..."
Then, chaos erupted. The first of the beasts roared, charging into the village with a ferocity that sent people fleeing in every direction. The ground beneath us rumbled with each monstrous step. I stood frozen, unable to move, unable to comprehend what I was seeing.
"Yoshino, Shu, we need to go!" Kaori grabbed my arm, pulling me out of my trance. "Now!"
But we couldn't escape fast enough. The beasts were everywhere—tearing through houses, crushing walls, their claws and teeth raking across anything they could find. I watched in horror as one beast swiped its massive claws across a building, reducing it to rubble. There was no time to think, no time to do anything but run.
We made our way through the village, dodging the creatures, until we reached Emi. She was with some of the other children, trying to ushered them into the carriage for evacuating the orphanage. My breath caught when I saw her face—pale, but determined as always.
"Emi!" I cried out, running toward her.
But before I could reach her, a smaller wolf from the shadows. Its maw opened wide, a sickening noise as it sank its fangs into Emi's leg, tearing through the flesh. That didn't look like a wolf, but bit different .Emi screamed, but the sound was drowned out by the growls of the monsters around us. Still us shouted us to get away from the place. I could only watch as her right hand was severed by another beast, its eyes glowing as it tore her limb away, swallowing it whole. Blood poured from her wounds, splattering the ground as she collapsed in agony.
Through the chaos, Emi's gaze never wavered from the children she had protected so fiercely. Even as her life was slipping away, her voice, strained and weak, carried through the madness. "Yoshino... Kaori... Shu... get to safety. Kaori protect them. Please..."
She couldn't even finish her sentence before the small beast tore into her once more, its sharp claws digging into her side. But Emi's eyes—those familiar, loving eyes—were still locked on us, her will strong until her very last breath. She didn't scream again. She mumbled silently me and Shu were staggered. But still simply continued to hold her gaze, as though her dying breath was a plea for us to survive.
Kaori screamed in horror, but her hands were already moving, pulling Shu and me away from the sight of Emi's final moments. "We can't help her!" she cried out, her voice filled with panic and anguish. "We need to move—now!"
With Kaori pulling us forward, we ran as fast as we could, pushing past the devastation and the carnage. The village was falling apart, and with every step, the air seemed to grow heavier with despair. But Kaori, despite her tears, kept pulling us forward, her determination to survive burning brighter than ever.
When we finally reached Kaori's house, she slammed the door shut behind us, her hands trembling. The house was still, but the air was thick with the unsaid. We sat together in the corner of her living room, not daring to speak, as the sounds of destruction and chaos continued to echo in the distance. My heart was a twisted knot, and my mind was too numb to comprehend the full scope of what had just happened.
Emi was gone. The orphanage was gone. What in the world have just happened.
Kaori sat beside me, her face pale and streaked with tears. "Yoshino... we need to understand what's happening. We need to survive. We can't let this be the end."
But I didn't answer. I couldn't. The world had shattered in an instant, and I had no answers—no explanation for why this had happened, or what was coming next. The rift in the sky hung over the horizon like an omen. We had no way of knowing who was responsible for this, or what force had unleashed it.
But one thing was certain: nothing would ever be the same again.
And as I sat there, in the dim light of Kaori's house, as Kaori went to see for her father and mother. The weight of everything pressing down on me.
I saw something strange from the window, it was a person trying to fight back the creatures that appeared out of nowhere. There's no way he could kill something like that, I thought to myself..., but he killed a Naga with his bare hand. Still he was eaten alive by another creature.
Shu was behind me he didn't utter a word, he was totally out of his mind, his face trembled in agony. My vision started to blur and fade away slowly, as I called Shu's name I fell off. Before closing off my eyes Kaori's father just arrived. And I lost my consciousness........................
