SITTING ON A ROOFTOP HADN'T EXACTLY BEEN VIENNA'S IDEA OF FUN TWO YEARS AGO.

Truth be told, she had been terrified of heights when she had first came to live with the naturals at age fifteen.

That is why she had been horrified initially at Lia's rooftop ice cream eating dates, thought he more Vienna went up on the roof, the less afraid she was.

And now, she even enjoyed it.

The chilling air hit her face, causing her eyes to water just slightly. She was sitting on the roof of the house awaiting Lia's return with a full ice cream carton. The two girls often sat on the roof, talking about whatever it is on their minds for hours on end, no matter the temperature. Others in the house would call them crazy, but they enjoyed the time and conversations they shared on the roof.

The window creaked open, and Lia's head poked out of her bedroom. "Vi, grab the ice cream from me, I can't get out."

She rises from where she had been perched on the roof, crawling ever so gently to the window, snatching the ice cream and three spoons from Lia's grasp.

"Who's the third spoon for?" Vienna asks as Lia pulls herself from the window.

"I found Cassie lurking in the kitchen, and I told her I knew a spot."

"Yes, you said a spot....this is a roof, Lia." The redhead girl follows Lia.

"Yes, it's been my roof for years." The black haired girl smiles proudly.

"I don't like heights, maybe I should go." Cassie stutters.

"Vienna was scared too, look at her now!" Lia exclaims.

"I'm still slightly terrified, but it gets less scary after a while." Vienna looks at Cassie, trying her hardest not to look toward the ground.

"Haven't you lived here for like two years, Vi?"

"I have. In two years's time, you'll be fine with the roof too!"

"Hmm, that's comforting." Cassie says sarcastically as she sits in the middle of Lia and Vienna. "So why exactly do you two come up here?"
