My Little Secret

I speed down the dimly lit road. The sky is a black as my batmobile. My eyes adjust to all the lights as I fly by them. He's gotten a lot more powerful, and I can't let him destroy my city. With them together they're unstoppable.

"did you hear the News last night?" Nick said walking into my room. The only light source was coming from my window, which most of the light was getting trapped by my curtains anyways.

"What news?" I asked him, quite curious of what he might say. I sat up in my bed, as my blanket that was on my chest fell into my lap.

"They got a video of Batman chasing Joker and Harley Quinn down town." Nick came up to me sitting on the edge of my bed. I felt the bed sink when he sat (i'm not fat shaming him. Pls don't go there😭 I was just explaining what Matt felt) next to me.

He handed me his phone to show me the video on the news last night. I watched the video of Batman chasing joker and Harley Quinn.

I started to remember what happened last night. He got away.

Damn you Joker.

I can't let him know though. I can't let anyone know. If they find out, who knows what might happen.

Nick snapped his fingers in my face. I didn't realize I zoned out.

"That's cool, I guess," I replied back to him, being my old moody self. He got up from my bed and started walking out.

"You're always so negative." He say as he shut my door. The sound echoed through my empty room.

I sat there staring at the blank wall in front of me. Am I really that negative? Batman probably isn't negative. Right? Negative Matt will always stick with me.

For the next couple hours I scrolled on my phone. I saw a few edits of me, a few edits of Batman, and a few clips of the News.

It was finally midnight again. The time I feel alive. The only time I feel alive.

I was just hiding in the alley way to see if I could spot them.

I stayed quiet. All I heard was crickets chirping. Until.

BAM!

A light. A light so bright it took my eyes a hot second to adjust to it.

As soon as my eyes got adjusted to the light I realized who it was.

(A/N: I'm so sorry for such a short chapter it's only the first one and I wanted to leave it at a cliff hanger. But I promise the chapters will get longer in the future.) 447 words.
