Chapter 4: A New Dream

Naruto sat in front of the massive flat-screen TV in his new living room, his legs sprawled out on the couch. He’d come home from his first day at school feeling more alienated than ever, the faces of his new classmates floating in his mind. The attention had been overwhelming, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that he wasn’t fitting in. But then, as he flipped through the channels, something caught his eye.

A boxing match. It was a championship fight, the ring illuminated by bright lights, and the crowd was roaring. Naruto was drawn in instantly. He watched as two fighters danced around each other, throwing powerful punches and dodging with lightning-fast reflexes. One of the boxers, with quick footwork and impeccable defense, landed a blow that sent his opponent reeling. The crowd went wild. This... this is it, Naruto thought, his heart racing with excitement.

Boxing. It was raw, powerful, and demanded skill and determination—qualities that Naruto had been developing his entire life. The thrill, the energy of the fight, was something he could feel deep in his bones. His eyes sparkled with the same determination he’d once had for becoming the greatest ninja. I can do this. I’ll be a boxer.

He turned off the TV, a fire igniting in his chest. There was no hesitation in his mind. He had found his new path. He didn’t need to be stuck in a classroom, following a life that didn’t fit him. He wanted to fight, not with ninjutsu, but with his fists. I’ll make a name for myself in the boxing world.

Minato, who had been in the kitchen preparing some snacks, walked into the living room just as Naruto stood up, his face alight with excitement.

“Dad, I know what I want to do. I want to be a boxer. Please, can you help me make this happen?” Naruto’s voice was filled with conviction, his usual carefree attitude now replaced with serious determination. His eyes were fixed on Minato’s face, searching for approval.

Minato paused, his hand halfway to his mouth, the concern evident on his face. He had always been supportive of Naruto’s decisions, but boxing was something different. It was dangerous, a far cry from the controlled environment of the academy and the training Naruto had known before. But Minato understood his son’s spirit. He knew how stubborn and passionate Naruto could be when he set his mind to something.

“You want to be a boxer?” Minato asked, his voice calm but tinged with curiosity. “Are you sure about this? You know it’s not going to be easy. The road to becoming a professional boxer is long and tough.”

Naruto’s gaze didn’t waver. “I’ve been through tougher stuff, Dad. Trust me. This is what I want to do. I can feel it.”

Minato let out a soft sigh and gave a small smile. He couldn’t help but admire his son’s resolve. He had always been a force of nature, and no matter what path he chose, Minato knew that Naruto would give it his all. If boxing was his dream, then Minato was determined to help him chase it.

“Well, alright. If you’re sure, then I’ll help you. But we’ll need the best coach out there. Someone who can shape you into a true fighter.”

Naruto’s face lit up, his excitement palpable. “Yes! I want to learn from the best.”

Minato nodded thoughtfully. After a few moments of contemplation, he reached for his phone and started making calls. It wasn’t long before he received the name of a coach who was highly recommended—a legendary boxer himself, with a reputation that stretched beyond the ring. Floyd Mayweather.

“He’s a living legend in the boxing world,” Minato explained to Naruto after a call. “He’s trained champions, and he has an incredible track record. If you want to make it big, he’s the one who can help you.”

Naruto couldn’t contain his excitement. Floyd Mayweather—one of the greatest boxers in history, the man who had taken on the best and come out on top. The idea of training under him was beyond Naruto’s wildest dreams.

The very next day, Minato arranged a meeting with Mayweather’s team. They flew to Las Vegas, where the boxing legend was based, and Naruto’s heart raced the entire flight. He had never been this nervous before. What if Mayweather didn’t like him? What if he wasn’t good enough?

But as they entered the gym, a wave of confidence washed over him. The gym was packed with fighters, some of them sweating from their workouts, others preparing for their upcoming matches. The walls were covered in photographs of Mayweather’s past victories, each one a testament to his skill and dominance in the ring.

And there he was, standing in the middle of it all—Floyd Mayweather. The boxer’s aura was undeniable. He stood tall, his muscular frame exuding power and control. His sharp eyes assessed Naruto the moment he entered the room, and there was no mistaking the scrutiny that followed.

“So, you’re the one Minato’s been talking about,” Mayweather said, his voice deep and confident. “You want to box, huh?”

Naruto nodded, his voice unwavering. “Yes, I do. I’ve got the drive. I’m ready to work hard.”

Mayweather raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “You’ve got guts, kid. Let’s see if you’ve got what it takes.”

For the next few hours, Naruto trained with Mayweather’s team. His body ached, his muscles screamed in protest, but he pushed through it. Every punch, every move, every drop of sweat was a step closer to his goal. Mayweather watched him closely, nodding approvingly at the boy’s raw talent.

“You’ve got potential,” Mayweather said as the session came to an end. “But potential means nothing without discipline. I’ll train you, but you’ve got to give it everything you’ve got. No excuses. This is your path now. You ready for that?”

Naruto wiped the sweat from his brow, panting heavily but smiling. “I’m ready.”

Floyd Mayweather smiled, a small glimmer of approval in his eyes. “Good. Let’s see what you’re made of, then. Welcome to the world of boxing, kid.”

And so, Naruto’s new journey began. It was no longer just about being the strongest ninja or gaining respect. This was about proving to himself—and the world—that he could be great in a whole new way. He was no longer just Uzumaki Naruto, the son of Minato Namikaze. He was Naruto Namekaze, the boxer ready to carve his own path to glory.
