It was February...
Beginning of a new term..
When she transferred..
'I would like to introduce our new transfer student, consider yourselves lucky class!' The teacher said
A new transfer student huh?
Knowing my bad luck, she'll probably also stay away...
'Hello, my name is Hitoe Mori, nice to meet you all' She said with a smile
She seems like a lucky one...
'Ok Mori go sit next to them over there' As the teacher points to where I am
Of course...
My bad luck is becoming predictable...
This is becoming too cliche...
*she walks over and sits down next to me*
That's how we met...
In the classroom... very cliche isn't it?
The author is getting lazy aren't they?
*whisper whisper*
Whispering already?
'Looks like the new girl is in sitting next to the black cat—'
'Who Akumu-san?'
'Really?, I feel bad—'
*giggling*
Akumu.. the black cat..
All the same...
Why me?
'Hey it's not nice to bad mouth them like that!' Hitoe shouted making her point clear
That was the first time someone has ever stood up for me...
*the giggles and whispers stop as they stare at Hitoe, the atmosphere growing with tension*
Oh shoot.. curse my bad luck
Now someone else is getting roped into trouble...
I don't want anyone else to struggle because of my bad luck...
At that moment it felt like four leaf clovers bloomed as the atmosphere cleared as she asked...
'Hey you alright? My name is Hitoe Mori. What's yours?' she smiled
Why me?
'Yes thank you... I'm—'
'She's asking for the black cat's name' they all giggled as they interrupted me
Wait... how long is the writer going to keep my name secret...
We're more than 2 chapters in?!
This is just lazy writing at this point.
'Yeah haven't you heard what Akumu-san here is?'
This feels too cliche...
It's all the same, just why?...
*the atmosphere grew heavy and painful*
Why did I get this bad—
'You should stop bad mouthing seriously.. plus they can just tell me themselve, isn't that right?' Hitoe said as she smiled
—luck?..
I still wonder to this day...
Why did she stick up for me...
But at the time all I said was...
'Yeah—'
*the bell rang it was lesson time*
Back to the lesson...
'So I would like—' the teacher said going on and on about the lesson
I thought that was it...
I was mistaken because...
Class is finally over...
Back to trying to dodge my bad luck—
'HEY WAIT!'
*Hitoe ran toward me*
*I stopped and turned as i felt the contrast between us*
Oh the new girl, what was her name again?...
Hit.. Hito?
No... oh wait Hitoe...
Hitoe Mori..
*She stops running as she caught up to me*
'What do you need Mori-san?' I asked
I should stay away...
My bad luck affects anyone...
I don't want to see more suffering...
My bad luck is enough...
'Akumu-san? Why do they bad mouth you?' She asked
Akumu?
This line feels similar...
Like when Unaraka from mha mistaken Midoriya's name as Deku because of Bakugo...
But then again that is the writer's favourite anime so, of course they're going to make a reference...
'Akumu?' I said with a confused voice
I know where this leads to but eh.. just my bad luck..
'Yeah that's what all our classmates called you right?' She asked
'Yes.. but—'
it's a mockery of my bad luck...
'It's just a.. just a nickname that they use to bully me...' I said
I hate all of it...
'Oh sorry I didn't realise that.. but Akumu sounds cool after all it means light right?'
Oh right this is a reference...
The writer must really love mha to include this reference...
*I chuckle*
'Akumu it is then' I said
'Alright Akumu-san let's be friends!'
In that moment all the darkness around me , like all the bad luck in my life disappeared...
And it was replaced in light.. a field of fully bloomed four leaf clovers...
Chapter 1: Blooming four clover END
