I get out of the room in silence. Her cries still ring into my ears like an echo,a scream for help. Seeing her like that made me realize just how much she could've been through and it guts me that I wasn't there for any of it.
Seeing her cry in pain in my husband's arms made me shed a few tears as well. She looked so tired...so..broken in a way.. But now is not the time for me to get emotional. When I left her body was practically burning so the right thing to do is to call Killian. He is a doctor after all,reason why aside.
I find my phone in the living room and immediately starts ringing Glyn. After a few rings she answers. I try to explain the situation and the need for a doctor without panicking but my emotions get the best of me and by the time the call is done I am tearing up again. She said that she will inform Kill and they will be here as fast as they can.
Wipping my tears with the back of my hand I walk into the kitchen to get some kind of cloth that I can soak in cold water and use it to try to decompress the fever just for now. Entering there I find Mia and Land having some kind of conversation that includes Lan speaking and Mia giving an annoyed reaction to most of his words. The moment they notice they start asking about my baby. Hell even Lan is showing interest. That's a first.
"How come you're here tho? Wouldn't you want to be there for her when she wakes up?" Mia asks in an inquiring voice. I calmly explain that she woke up having a nightmare,which then turned into a panic attack and now into a high fever. "Poor girl. Did you call Kill?" Lan asks. I'm not surprised actually. Sasha used to be everyone's soft spot so it was a given that when they find out about her state they will be worried. "I did. But in the mean time I need some kind of cloth and a bowl of cold water so I can try and cool down her body." Both quickly scramble to help me and in a matter of seconds I have what I came for alongside some juices and water bottles. "She's feverish and hasn't eat recently. You don't want her dehydrated as well." As Lan said.
I hurry upstairs. The view that my eyes are greeted with is seriously too much for me to handle. Sasha is tucked into Niko's arms,head deep onto his neck and arms draping over her middle. Niko has one of his arms wrapped tightly around her keeping her in place while the other gently caresses her hair. His lips often meet the soft skin of her face,mainly her forehead,pressing kisses to let her know that even while she's sleeping he's still there to hold her. Sasha mumbles something under her breath that I can't quiet decipher. That makes Niko sweetly shush in her ear as if his presence is enough to chase away her nightmares.
