A gift

NARUTO POV

I tried to explain, but it looks like Hinata had cancelled the call. I wish i could see her again, these times i'm almost away everyday! Thats gonna change when i become Hokage! Oh how i miss Hinata! But the only reason i'm away is because i'm planning on giving her a gift, but i dont have any money! To get some more money i need to go on missions. Of course i could work, but i'd rather go on missions than work. It just doesnt suit me and Hinata would ask me about it.  I hate to lie to her, but she will be so happy when she gets the gift! I'm sure of it! Even though i hate to be with Pervy sage, it is worth it if it makes Hinata happy. I love her to death.

"Naruto? You are so quiet, have anything  happened?" Pervy sage asked.

"No, nothing is wrong, Hinata called and i just miss her."

"ah, i see. I would like to come home to someone that loved me. A wife." He said while looking like he does when he think about pervy thoughts.

"You mean Lady Tsunade, right?  Well, she is too strong and smart for you."

"Hey! I was at the same team as her when i was younger you know!"

"Yeah yeah whatever"

NEJI POV

I started eating the cookies Hinata had given me. They are my favorite cookies. I wonder why she called me tho. She never calls me and is silent unless it involves Naruto.

"It's about Naruto isn't it?"

She stopped a bit and was silent.

"What should i do Neji? He is always away and when he is here in konoha he doesn't even bother to look at me! This has been going on for a year!" She cried.

A year. Thats when Sasuke came back to konoha if im not wrong. I took another cookie while i was dwelling on this.

"You really dont know what to do, huh." I said.

Her eyes got teary.

"Sakura-chan was visiting me today." She silently replied. Oh how i hate her!

"Dont even think about telling me about Sakura, you know i hate her."

"But what should i do? Naruto is just ignoring me! I cant live like this! I would do anything to make him stop ignoring me!" She yelled at me.

I see, so she is very sensitive about Naruto, a the fact that he is ignoring her is weird. Maybe i should go talk to Lady Tsunade, she knows everything about everyone in this village. I mean she must know something about why Naruto is ignoring her.

"I remembered Lady Tsunade summoned me before i left, i have to go now, sorry. Bye!" I said as i left Hinata's house to go to Lady Tsunade. She hadn't really summoned me but that was the only reason i had so i could go to Lady Tsunade. I jumped from building to building. No time to waste. I hate to see Hinata sad more than anything. If Lady Tsunade dont know why he is ignoring her, i will kill Naruto the next time he returns from a mission. Believe me i will do anything to make Hinata happy.

I rushed to Ladu Tsunade's office. Outside i met Shizune and pom- pom.

"Oh hi Neji, Long time no see!"

"Same to you! Tell me, do you know why Naruto is so much away?"

"I thought about the same thing, but no i dont."

"Ok then, thanks anyway"

"No problem"

She walked in the office, 5 seconds later she was carrying a lot of books.

I walked in. Lady Tsunade looked surprised that i was here.

"Well hi Neji, i must say i havent seen you in a while."

"Do you know why Naruto is so much away? Hinata miss him."

She looked around like she was making sure no one was watching. Then she turned to me and said

"Come closer"

I came closer.

"This is a secret, so promise to not tell anyone, Hokage's orders, is that understood?"

"uh ok"

"Naruto is always away because he is planning on taking Hinata away on a cruise, but for that he need money, and lousy Naruto dont want to work so he decided to go on missions."
