POV Luna

Magic was in the air. Everything felt so unreal! The little boy summoned some sort of axe the same color as his eyes.

“Get out, meow! Or else Lucas will hurt you, meow!” So, the little boy’s name was Lucas. He threatened the crazy knight, but the lunatic didn’t care at all! He summoned a sword that radiated an ominous energy. Lucas, however, wasn’t scared; instead, he prepared for battle.

“We’ll see about that, you cursed little cat!” After those words, the lunatic rushed toward Lucas at an incredible speed, ready to slash him, but Lucas shot a beam of energy directly at his face.

Everything felt so surreal! I mean, I’ve loved witchcraft since I was a child, but my parents always treated me like a monster… I’ve always wondered why. Why wasn’t I allowed to be myself?

---

The battle was like a series of explosions—true fireworks! Lucas shielded himself from the attacks of the insane knight. However, Lucas quickly started losing ground; despite his speed, he couldn’t keep defending himself.

From the ground, I watched the scene unfold. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to protect this little guy, but how could I? I didn’t have any magic!

Suddenly, I heard an explosion nearby. I looked up, and Lucas was falling. Without thinking, I caught him in my arms. He was injured, trembling in my grasp.

When I looked up again, I was face-to-face with the lunatic knight. His wild, predatory grin sent shivers down my spine. I was terrified. I tried to say something, anything, but my words barely came out:
“D-Don’t...h-hurt…me…”

The lunatic leaned closer, his voice taunting: “What did you say? I couldn’t hear you ~” At that moment, I wanted to run. I wanted to get as far away from him as possible, but my body refused to move.

“And if I were you, I’d stay far away from them…” A cold yet clear voice rang out from behind me. I turned and saw a girl who seemed to be around 17 or 18 years old. Her appearance was strikingly mature.

She was tall and slender, with long brown hair that flowed down to her ankles. She wore a black dress with blue accents that reached just above her knees, high boots, and small gloves. Draped over her shoulders was a jet-black coat. Her eyes were empty, like a void, yet as cold as ice.

“B-Big sister?!” The lunatic’s demeanor shifted completely. He now resembled a scared child.

“Get lost immediately!” Her command was sharp and absolute. The lunatic left in a huff.

Now, it was just Luna, Lucas, and this mysterious girl.

The girl stepped closer to us. Lucas began to stir, noticing her presence.

“Mary, meow!” He jumped into her arms despite his injuries.

POV Luna

My attention was fixed on the woman who had saved us. I think her name was Mary?

I slowly stood up and approached her and the little boy.

“U-Um, excuse me!” Mary’s eyes fell on me, and she smiled faintly.

“You must have many questions. First, follow me. I’ll explain everything once we reach Morgana’s Café.”

“Morgana’s Café…?”

“You’ll see, young lady,” she replied cryptically. But I had made up my mind—I would follow them to find out what was going on. I had just witnessed something I’d only dreamed of since childhood!
