Darkstalker nervously paced around the tree. He had invited Clearsight here, claiming that he had a surprise for her. Clearsight agreed, and would be here any moment. He tried to shake the jittery feeling in his wings, but failed to do so. He clutched tightly in his talons a small, black, velvety box. Inside was a ring, simple, with one big diamond in the center. The band was a black metal, but Darkstalker had made it himself. Without animus magic. He had enchanted the diamond so even when they were apart, she could always communicate with him. He had mind reading powers, but they weren't strong enough to reach her when she was afar. He was going to ask her to be his mate. Suddenly, Clearsight landed with a graceful swoop, and Darkstalker smiled. "Good morning, love." He said. "Morning, Darkstalker " she replied. "This is a beautiful place you picked" she marveled at the greenery and the big oak tree they were under. "Clearsight," Darkstalker began. "I've been thinking. You make me so happy every day and without you I just feel, empty. I want to spend every day and the rest of my life with you. Will you be my mate?" He got down on one knee (idk how that's even possible thinking about it hurts my brain) and pulled out the box. Clearsight gasped. She stood there for a while, and Darkstalker worried if she was going to say no. "Yes." she breathed. "Three moons, yes!" she jumped into his wings and gave him a passionate kiss. Gently, Darkstalker slid the ring onto one of her talons. It sparkled in the light of the moons, reflecting off every angle and facet. Darkstalker looked through the futures ahead. All of them were happy, and full of love.
Hope you enjoyed! Sorry it was a bit short, but I like to keep things short and sweet.
