The Story That Never Was

It all started in the beginning of the year of 2024. A person was feeling at his lowest in his life. One more chance to break and he'll go over the edge. This person was feeling lost in hopes of it all to end, but then someone came into his life. This new person came into his life completely changing his aspect of how the world is. Instead of the world being dark and alone, He finally had something or rather someone to live for. It started with the simple things like talking on the phone everyday, Hanging out at their house just them. Truly showing him what real friendship is and how much good there actually is in the world. They became really close friends within months and soon this person became attached to not only them but their family, loving them so much and holding them dear to his heart. There were times where he felt lost again but this person kept pulling him out of the darkness or rather lighting up his darkness. He learned alot about this person including their past relationships and the person learned alot about him and his story. Sometimes he feels like she doesn't really care for him and that she lost the fire in the friendship. This was bad as he has grown too attached to this person and even started developing feelings. He thought the worst for so long. In hopes of not ruining the friendship he started to distance himself as he didn't want her to be weirded out by how he felt as they were close friends and she obviously for specific reasons would never feel the same about him. It went on for so long. The two friends didn't talk as much as they did for about 2 weeks and in hopes of it getting better he thought it was working. It appeared to him that they were not as good friends as they used to be but it could just be that they weren't talking as much. After months of this person having these feelings for them they decided to bury it but could never get rid of the feeling. After a good 2 weeks they finally started talking again and whatever feelings he felt that he lost came right back when he heard her laugh and the stupid things she would say. It was like anything this person did would put a smile on his face. He was freaking out as all these feelings and emotions that he had suppressed came rushing back. He was bawling his eyes out worried the friendship would end. In his distress he flipped out and messaged her asking if they were still good and had thoughts of ending the friendship right there as not to hurt her even though ending the friendship would mentally kill him and he would have nothing left. This did not go unchanged. They started talking again and he once again decided to put his feelings aside and once again they stopped talking. She was the most nice(when she wants to be) Cute, amazing person he has ever met. He is in constant worry about this girl and she had no idea. After a while he decided to see what would happen if he stopped reaching out. They did not talk for 2 whole weeks. He thought as though she was done and did not want to reach out so he fell into a giant pit of darkness. Where everything felt numb and he was willing to accept that she did not want him anymore. After what seemed to be almost a whole year of knowing this person and suppressing these emotions and feelings. He was so mentally drained. He has truly reached the lowest point in his life ready for whatever had to come next and then suddenly. She came back, acting as if nothing had changed. Coming back when he was as his lowest dragging him back up but he was never the same. He accepted the fact that he wasn't as important to her as he once was and couldn't bare it. To this day as of Dec 2, 2024, he still thinks what would happen if maybe he reached out a year before. What could've been before she made the switch. Maybe, just maybe she would've returned his feelings. But now he stays silent about how he feels in denial about everything, and she has no idea. He sits now wondering about The Story That Never Was.
