I stormed down the crowded sidewalk of the town, slipping through the gaps in between people. Of course, I thought, annoyed, Those imbeciles never have anything good. I turned down a quiet alley; it was the quickest way back to the hotel. I nearly crashed into a wall, grumbling with irritation. After what felt like ages, I emerged to face Hotel OJ. It towered above me, the distracting orange walls seeming like an endless road into the sky. I saw multiple people walking down the halls through the windows, presumably laughing and enjoying themselves. I burst through the door, and saw multiple familiar faces relaxing in the lounge. I ignored them however, making my way through the busy lobby into the elevator. I attracted a couple looks, a concerned one from Balloon, and a death glare from Pickle. Pickle...he refuses to forgive me, yet he'll forgive Mephone4 without a second thought. I pushed that thought aside and punched the floor number into the elevator. The elevator decided to be incredibly slow today, so I began to tap on the handrail, listening to the elevator music play.
I always thought this music was incredibly stupid and distasteful, yet so many others seem to enjoy it. I wondered why.
Eventually, the elevator made its way to the floor 5, where I was in a hurry to go. I squeezed out of the elevator and rushed down the hall, looking at the names engraved on the door.
Room 501: Test Tube
Room 503: Paintbrush
Room 505: Cherries
Room 507: Suitcase
Suitcase's door knob seemed to be gathering dust. After she won season 2, OJ had apparently upgraded her room, or something like that.. I didn't care enough to listen. I sighed, reminiscing on what my own season 2 experience had been. As painful as it was, there were some fun moments.
I continued walking down the hall, spotting more names; I didn't recognize any of them. OJ had invited many more new people to stay in the hotel, perhaps to make it seem more lively. Or maybe they had been like I was.
I stopped at a door. The label read, Room 515: Microphone.
I knocked and slowly creaked the door open. Microphone was sitting on her bed, watching some show.
"Mic...?" I asked, attempting to see if she noticed me.
"Oh! Hi Taco. Back this early?" She replied, grabbing the remote and hastily shutting off the television before turning towards me, a relaxed look on her face.
"I suppose I did arrive early. The shop didn't have what we wanted." I told her, the tinge of irritability returning to my voice. She looked at me, seemingly trying to hold back a reaction to my anger.
"Man, that's a real bummer. How about we head down to the lounge and see what's happening?" Mic suggested, jumping up from the bed.
"Why not?" I said as she walked towards me. I opened the door and held it for Mic, watching her step through the doorway before letting the door close itself. Microphone held out her hand to me, and I took it, a satisfied smile appearing on her face.
"So Mic, what was that show you were watching in there?" I asked, trying to strike up conversation. I looked out the window to admire the large stretch of trees that surrounded the hotel.
"Oh, it wasn't much, just some show Soap recommended to me. It seems great so far." She replied, and I noticed she was hiding her excitement about the show.
"You're gonna let me watch it with you, right?" I joked, nudging Mic's arm.
"Oh, yeah. Of course." She said, rubbing her arm. "That hurt, Taco!" She added, a hint of playfulness and sarcasm in her voice.
"Oh really?" I teased, giving her a smug smirk. I looked over at her, a large smile had appeared on her face as we reached the elevator.
"I hope this will be faster on the way down." I muttered to myself, pushing the down button next to the closed elevator door. We waited a few moments, exchanging a look of impatience with once another, before we heard the bing! Of the elevator, signaling its arrival.
Microphone hurried into the elevator, dragging me with her, and knocking me into the wall before I could catch myself.
"Oof!" I shouted, holding my head, my vision blurred.
"Oh shit! Taco! Taco are you okay?" Mic asked, rushing to my side as I slid down the side of the elevator wall onto the ground.
"H-huh? Eergh....Yes, Mic. I'm alright." I forced myself up, my vision still slightly blurred and the elevator still spinning quite a bit. My head pounded, and it hurt like hell, but I tried my best to ignore it.
The elevator made another noise, and the doors slid open. I grabbed onto Mic's hand again to keep myself steady. She looked at me with concern and guilt, before looking at the crowd that had filled the lounge. She waved to lots of others, and they waved back. She somehow managed to make everyone in the hotel genuinely like her, something I'm ashamed to say I seem to be incapable of doing.
"Mic?" I nudged Microphone's arm again to get her attention. She looked at me with the same worry she had just a few minutes ago.
"What's wrong Taco?" She asked me. I must have looked terrible, her eyes widened and she rushed to hold me as I lost my balance and fell into her. This attracted the attention of the inhabitants of the lounge, I heard their worried murmuring to each other, as well as some other comments.
"Mic! What's wrong with Taco?" I heard Baseball's voice ask, as he pushed through the crowd surrounding us. I heard Pickle sigh in annoyance, before presumably turning away and thinking something along the lines of "Hah, that's what she gets."
"I think she must've hurt herself. We entered the elevator and she hit her head pretty hard on the rail. She said she was fine, but I have the feeling she was lying." Microphone said, panic evident in her voice. The worry and care in her voice made me feel bad, and I tried to respond, but it came out as a quiet groan.
"I'll get OJ! Nobody crowd them, we don't want to hurt Taco any more." Baseball announced, rushing out of the lounge, crashing into multiple pieces of furniture, making loud bangs.
"Taco...if you can hear me, you'll be fine. Baseball is getting OJ. Please, please be okay..." She muttered under her breath, the last part to herself. I felt my eyes force themselves shut, and I fell limp, pushing Microphone back. I fell in and out of sleep during the course of a few seconds, and as I slipped into full unconsciousness, I heard one more person speak. His deep voice easily recognizable.

"About time we got rid of that piece of shit."

**AN: So! That was my first chapter so far, I'm pretty excited to finally start writing this, as I've had the idea circulating in my head for the past few days. I don't have any schedule or anything, as I may not write much due to the fact that I am still in school, and I struggle with lack of motivation. Although some days I may make multiple parts if I feel so moved! I hope to keep most chapters pretty long, unless I really think the chapter needs to be a short length; never good to cram too much into one chapter!
