The day had started just like any other. I was back at the diner, slipping into the familiar rhythm of my routine. The clink of plates, the murmur of conversation, the sizzling of food on the grill. It was comforting in a way. The town was still small enough that I could disappear into the background, becoming just another face in the crowd. No one here knew my past, and that was exactly how I liked it.

But today, something felt off. I was standing by the counter, wiping down glasses, when I felt it again. The same pull, the same impossible sensation that had stopped me in my tracks the day before. My heart skipped a beat, and my senses sharpened, straining to detect the source of the feeling.

I paused, setting the glass down with a slight tremor in my hand. My eyes scanned the diner, searching for any sign of the man I had seen the previous day. The man who had felt... important, even though I couldn't make sense of it. But as I looked around, I saw nothing. No one was staring at me with that same intensity. No one had the same aura, the same... pull.

It was just me, lost in the crowd again. Or so I thought.

The feeling lingered, growing stronger this time. My pulse quickened as I tried to push the thought from my mind. But then, something strange happened. The air shifted, and I could smell it. A scent that seemed to coat the very atmosphere around me, distinct and almost intoxicating. It was familiar, but also completely foreign. The scent was strong, and it hit me like a wave, sending a shiver down my spine.

At first, I couldn't place it. But then I realized something that made my stomach drop.

The scent wasn't coming from one person. It was coming from two.

I froze in place, my heart suddenly hammering in my chest. Two. Two of them. The feeling, the pull, it wasn't just one person. It was two. But how? How could this be? Nicolai had been my mate. He had rejected me. So why was this happening?

The diner suddenly felt suffocating. I needed to get out of there. I needed to get away from the overwhelming feeling that something was happening, something I couldn't understand.

Without thinking, I excused myself, telling the manager I needed a break. He barely looked up from his paperwork as I slipped out the back door and into the alley, trying to calm my racing thoughts.

The scent was still there, stronger now. I followed it down the street, my mind in chaos. I couldn't stop my heart from pounding, and my legs felt unsteady beneath me. I didn't know what was happening, but it felt like everything I had tried to ignore was catching up to me.

And then, I saw them.

Two men stood by a sleek black car, their backs to me. They didn't look anything like the strangers I had imagined. They were tall, both of them, broad-shouldered and undeniably striking. Even from a distance, I could sense that there was something different about them. The air around them was charged, alive with power and presence. I had never seen either of them before, but I knew, without a doubt, that this was where the pull had been coming from.

They turned in unison as if they had been waiting for me to notice them. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. The connection hit me with such force that I felt the world tilt beneath my feet. There was no mistaking it now. They were my mates.

The realization crashed over me like a wave, and my knees buckled. The shock of it was too much. My vision blurred, my hearing dulled, and everything went black.

---

When I woke up, I was lying on a soft bed, my head resting on a plush pillow. The room was not my apartment, that much was clear. The space around me was luxurious, far more opulent than anything I had ever seen. There were heavy curtains hanging by the window, a beautiful chandelier overhead, and plush furniture that spoke of wealth and power. It was nothing like the small, modest apartment I had been hiding in for months.

I bolted upright, panic rising in my chest. Where was I? What was happening? My head swam as I tried to make sense of it all. I touched my forehead, finding a faint dizziness but nothing that suggested I had been seriously hurt.

And then, as I swung my legs over the side of the bed, I saw them.

The two men who had been standing by the car. The two men who had—without any warning—swept me into this world I didn't understand.

They were standing near the door, watching me, their gazes intense but not unkind.

I recognized them immediately, of course. But I couldn't bring myself to speak. It was as if my body refused to process the situation. I felt a strange mix of anger, confusion, and—strangely—something else I couldn't quite place.

"Amelia," one of them said, his voice low and commanding, yet filled with something else—concern, maybe? He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. "How are you feeling?"

I looked at him, my throat dry as I tried to answer, but no words came out. The other man moved to stand beside him, his expression more guarded, but there was no mistaking the recognition in his eyes.

"I'm Grey," the first man said, his dark eyes never leaving mine. "And this is my brother, Blue." He gestured toward the second man.

Blue had silver hair and piercing blue eyes that almost seemed to glow in the dim lighting. His gaze held a certain sharpness, as if he could see right through me.

"Amelia, you're safe," Blue added, his voice soft, though there was a firm resolve behind it. "We won't hurt you."

Hurt me? I wasn't sure if that was what I was worried about, but the shock of everything that had happened was still too much for me to process.

"I... I don't understand," I said, my voice shaky. "How is this possible? Why are you—both of you—here?" The question had barely left my lips before I realized what it meant.

They were my mates. Both of them.

Grey and Blue exchanged a look, one that spoke volumes, though neither of them said anything for a moment. Finally, Grey sighed, his expression softening slightly.

"We didn't know either," Grey said. "It's... complicated. But we're Lycan princes, Amelia. This is not something we expected either. But the bond is undeniable."

Lycan princes. I had never imagined this in my wildest dreams. The weight of their words settled over me like a heavy fog.

"You're... princes?" I whispered, unable to keep the surprise out of my voice. "But... how can you both be?"

Blue moved closer, his eyes never leaving mine as he crouched down in front of me. "We don't have all the answers, but the bond is real. We don't know how or why, but it's there."

His words hung in the air between us, and I felt my heart race again.

I was bound to two men—two princes—neither of whom I had ever met before today.

It was too much. Too much to wrap my mind around. How was this possible? How could I—after everything with Nicolai—be caught in another bond?

And yet, here I was.

Grey and Blue's eyes were filled with a mix of curiosity and something else—something that I couldn't quite define.

"Amelia," Blue said gently, "we don't expect anything from you. We're not here to force anything. But you need to understand something—this bond, it's not something we can fight. It's not something you can fight either. You're our mate. We don't know why or how it happened, but we're here."

I swallowed hard, the weight of their words sinking in.

And for the first time in a long time, I felt something shift inside me. A flicker of hope. A tiny thread of possibility. But it was still tangled up in confusion, fear, and so much uncertainty.

"What now?" I whispered, my voice small.

Grey's gaze softened. "Now? Now, we figure this out. Together."

And for the first time, I wasn't sure what my next step would be. But something in me told me that this—whatever this was—was only just beginning.
