Kaiceph's bizarre adventure

What is a holiday to a being whose society had forgotten the joy of celebration?.

Amidst the colorful lights of kivotos in the middle of snowy night, vananustra is a stark contrast to the lively and bustling city below, ghastly in presence with no lights indicating it's activity which reminisces of a ghost ship that had been long abandoned and forgotten, inside the dome bridge illuminated by the large holo monitor that displayed the entirety of the city, a lone individual sitting on a throne like command chair fixated his blue glowing eyes towards multiple video feeds of people celebrating the holiday, he mused that he had known about holiday celebration like this but his civilization never held one not even once for eons due to various reasons mostly related to the fact that everyone of them were descendants of bio augmented super soldiers who was condition to be ruthless combatants without any emotion and even hesitation, it further worsen the fact that in one point in time they had adopted a more militaristic doctrine and isolationist policy in response to constant harassments from warmonger species, be it within the galaxy or beyond, a flash of memories from his predecessors came and saw how bloodied their hands are and as well as piles upon piles of bloodied corpses of multiple warmonger species, both civilians and soldiers alike during the peak of their militaristic ideology, his instinct of executing someone on sight without any remorse which had been born from such time still lingers despite being eons had passed.

a presence materialized behind him with a rather somber emotion, he turned around the command chair and talked to her.

Kaiceph: "you don't have to be concerned about my will being, kuchinashi yume, me and my predecessors before was originally bred for war, our emotional attachment are almost non existent."

she's still insisting about him joining their celebration, he took a glance at the video feed, there he saw sensei is celebrating with the girls.

Kaiceph: "........ if you insisted."

she felt happy and he stood up from the chair and used his teleportation ability in order to not draw any unnecessary attention.

*infront of abydos school*

he appeared in front of their school's entrance and dematerialized his armor, piece by piece within seconds until it was completely gone, with him only left with his robe which is silver in color, he entered through the gate, which then sensei noticed his giant silhouette from the window and called out to him.

Sensei: "hey! kaiceph! you came!, you should've notified me about your visit!"

the girls also looked through the window and were taken aback due to his new look.

Serika: "wow!.. i never knew I'd see him without his armor."

Hoshino: "it seems sensei is kinda jealous of how good looking he is."

They looked at sensei's direction and saw his jealous face while tearing up.

Sensei: "w-what are you talking about!? i didn't feel jealous of him! i'm just glad he came! t-that's right!"

they deadpan listening to him with sweat rolling down. a knock on the door interrupted their chat.

Ayane: "coming!"

she opened the door only to find kaiceph crouched down to see them, he immediately cut off their supposedly questions for him.

Kaiceph: "a certain someone insisted for me to come here for a celebration."

they have a look of a curious face and somewhat confused expression but never pushed it further to him, he excused himself in and just plopped down on the floor with his feet folded.

Ayane: "m-my apologies for not being able to get you a proper chair, kaiceph, since we didn't have a visitor as large as you until now."

she sighed while saying it to him.

Kaiceph: "i paid it no mind ayane."

nonomi brought party poppers out and handed to everyone including kaiceph, he observed everyone closely on how they are so full of energy after they started their merry night, during story telling time he avoided bringing up those bad memories and just focused on telling them the worlds he visited including meeting alien species from another planet or galaxy as well as that time a goddess asked for his help, it was an enjoyable time for the group listening to his recollection.

Sensei: "you seem to be unable to enjoy, kaiceph."

Kaiceph: "it was something born out of conflict, our distant ancestors were a weapons of war. super soldiers of ruthless efficiency in combat, unable to feel emotions nor remorse for those they killed."

they are having a chat after everyone had fallen asleep, he then added.

Kaiceph: "it also had been such a long time since our civilization held festivities similar to this, now we had forgotten how it feels to celebrate such occasions."

sensei thought that kaiceph had it rough almost unable to feel emotions and just existed to kill, then he spoke to him.

sensei: "you should come along tomorrow with me since i also must attend my other students' Christmas party."

which he nodded and sensei smiled, kaiceph then tells sensei his opinion about him and his students.

Kaiceph: "this is one of the many reasons why your students are eyeing you, sensei.

Sensei: "what do you mean?"

Kaiceph: "you'll know someday, when the time comes."

Sensei didn't press on and just continued his drink with kaiceph, while kaiceph had been aware about the girls' feelings for him he didn't tell him about their true feelings for him, he must discover it by himself. the entire holiday season had been a new experience to him since his knowledge of Christmas were mostly from history log and his distant predecessor's memories.

it's kinda too short i know and a bit gloomy to boot but i wanna ask you guys, when was the last time you felt genuinely happy about celebrating Christmas? and also merry christmas.
