Chapter three

* present time*
Ava is now 5!! She has grown to be a sassy little diva like her mother. Nate has been home for almost 4 years and hasn't tried to contact me in any way. I miss him but I know I'm doing the right thing.

I woke up bright and early Monday morning. " mommy mommy!" Ava called running into my room. " yes sweetie" I said. " I was talking with my friend Kendall and she has a mommy and a daddy" Ava said. " where's my daddy?" She asked. " he's camping" I replied. " he will come home at some point" I told her. I heard a knock on the door. " stay here Ava" I told her running down the stairs to open the door. " Hello....?" I said opening the door to see Sammy. " Sammy!!!!" I yelled hugging him. " it's so good to see you Sierra" sam said. " I just got back from Magcon tour with Nate" Sam continued to talk. " oh" is all I could say while letting go of him. " how's Ava?" He asked. " she's Ava" I replied laughing.

Sam came in and played with Ava for about 2 hours. While they were playing I decided to make Sammy some lunch. As I was making him a sandwich he walked in. " hey beautiful" Sam said. " shut up" I said giggling. " So I was thinking..." Sam continued. " That's never good" I said with a laugh. " You need to tell Nate" he said bluntly. " Why? If he wanted to he could have called or texted me and he didn't " I said. " Sierra he needs to know about Ava" " I Know" I replied.

After making Sam his sandwich he stayed a little longer to play with Ava until he had to go home. " Mommy?" Ava said. "Yes sweetie" I Said making Ava dinner. " When's Daddy coming home? I want to show him my stuffed koala kiara" Ava said. " Um I'm not sure" I replied. Yes I lied to my daughter but I didn't know if or when I was going to tell Nate. I heard he has tattoos and that he smokes and gets high. To be quite honest I don't know if I want him in Ava's life.
