Yuvaan

I punched the bag. If I stayed there, Nishtha would start hating me again, she'd be afraid of my anger. I need to calm my anger down and the only way to do it is by using my punching bag.

I got the bastard arrested and ran upstairs into my room and punched it. I don't have the energy or will to be near anyone right now or they're going to hear it from me, so I locked my door.

Nishtha wasn't supposed to find out this way.

We were just getting better and now she's going to think I lied to her again. This guy just took my relationship back by months. Plus, how dare he think he has a chance with her.

How dare he.

I stopped myself after realizing it was getting too much and quickly sent a message asking my team to speed up Verma's case. Then, I went to take a shower and changed into another kurta and came downstairs where I saw Nishu sitting and talking to Mom.

"Where were you?" Mom asked and I saw Nishu turn back and see me.
Her eyes wanting to speak.

"I was caught up with something. I'm here now, what work is left?" I replied, dodging the topic.

"They're all gone now. Some guests are staying over tonight so we need to be on our best behavior, and tomorrow you need to go by 8am to pick Vami up for her pag phera."

I hummed in response.

"Okay, we're going to sleep. Nishtha, will you make sure everyone's slept once?" Mom asked her and she nodded.

Mom and Dad left, and so did I. I couldn't stay there because I knew she wants to talk to me but I'm scared of what she'll say. I'm scared that she's going to ask me to divorce her. I'm afraid this might have been her last straw.

"Yuvaan!" I heard her call me, but I pretended to get a phone call and put my phone next to my ear and walked away.

I entered my room and closed the door.

What am I going to do now?
How am I going to handle her?
How do I stop her from leaving me?!

She came into the room around 40 minutes later. She wears the anklet I got her and so I can hear when she's close to me. I heard the click of the anklet and quickly got into my blanket and closed my eyes, pretending to sleep.

She walked in and closed the door. Then, I felt her go and change and then lay down beside me. I could feel her hesitation without even looking at her. I felt a small hand on my shoulder, but I ignored it. I couldn't talk to her.

I heard her sigh, "Yuvaan. I know you're awake. You can't fake sleep. Please talk to me."

How did she know?
Are you kidding? She knows you inside out.

Realizing I had no other option, I opened my eyes and looked at her. She was in a simple kurta and pants and was sitting with her legs crossed on the bed. I got up and sat on the bed with her and then looked at her.

"Why are you avoiding me?" She asked.

I sighed, "Do you want an honest answer?"
She nodded and hummed in response.

I held her hand, "I'm scared. I'm scared of losing you. I thought after finding out that the reason behind our marriage was not what you think, I thought you might be fully against me. I knew that you don't want stay with me and while I'm trying to get rid of those reasons which push you away, there's more reasons which come up."

She looked at me, her face wasn't readable.

"I... I swear, I haven't hidden anything else from you. I've told you everything. There's nothing else I haven't told. I didn't tell you this because I knew that if we told you, you would try your best to sort it out and if you couldn't, you'd accept your fate and marry that bastard and I can't see you marry him. No matter how much I might have claimed to hate you, I can't see you become his. I can't see you ruin your life."

"Yuvaan!" She stopped me, "Let me talk!"

"Sorry. Yeah. Sorry." I said.

She looked at me, "I'm sorry, Yuvaan. I'm sorry that I misjudged you and kept trying to hate you because you were some womanizer. To be honest, I wasn't able to believe that you had become someone like this, but the news...."

"I really tried to get those news taken off. I knew that even from US, you'd be watching the news and I didn't want you to think that I've settled."

"But you hated me so why do you care?"
"I... I never hated you darling. I only tried to make myself believe that I did," I chuckled.

"Let's sleep." She suddenly said.

"Oh. Is everything okay?" I asked her.
"Yes. We need to wake up early, you need to go get Vamika tomorrow." I nodded and soon we slept.

I was outside Vamika's in-laws house, waiting for her to come outside. It's been one day and I already missed her so much.

'Where are you?' I messaged her.
She replied within a second, 'Coming.'

Like she said, she was outside in a minute and I smiled seeing my sister. It was weird to see her in a bridal wear. The sindoor and mangalsutra.

We got in the car, and I drove, "So how was it?"
"Kya?" She asked.
"Day 1 of marriage."
"It was beautiful. I loved it."
"I'm glad. Marriage is so much fun."

"How are things with you and Bhabhi?" She asked me after some silence.
"They're okay. Why?"
"I saw you and her don't share a room. I wanted to help you if things aren't okay."

I sighed, "They're fine. I just feel like another thing came to disrupt us. I don't know if she wants me. I don't know what to do."

"Bhai, she wants you. Trust me. I asked her day before yesterday. I even gave her the option to share a room with me but she said no."

"What?"

"She loves you bhai. She always loved you. It was always you Bhai. You just need to make her say it."

"How? I tried everything."

"Bhai, just relive your days. It'll happen on its own. If you look in her eyes for just a few minutes, you'll see how much in love she is with you. She's badly in love with you."

We reached home and everyone hugged Vamika. I saw Nishtha come down. She looked beautiful in her light blue saree.

"Bhabhi!" Vamika hugged Nishtha.
"Hi!" She hugged her back, "How are you?"

They all spoke while I continued to just look at Nishtha, trying to see how do I get my love to confess her love for me.

She was going to the kitchen and I watched her and went behind her. As she entered the kitchen, I grabbed her and kissed her. She got alert and held me as I continued to kiss her.

Once I let her go, she spoke, "What happened?"
"I missed you."
