The police sent out search parties. Questions were asked. Everyone was scared. Screaming and crying were heard. And everyone admitted they love her. Marcus was no where to be found. Everyone looked. No where to be seen, Marcus was running away. He had packed his stuff as soon as he heard. He couldn't take it. He wanted to run away from the memories that would haunt him, make new, happy ones.

Marcus's feet were flying. Pavement behind him, he finally made it to the woods. The trees high above him. The dirt at his feet. Amazing. He didn't stop there, he ran. He ran so he could out run his feelings and become happy. And never remember anything that happened. To be set free from everything.

"Marcus! No! Don't! Running away? No. That won't solve anything. Go back and..." Whispered a voice.

"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE! PLEASE! GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE! NOOOOOOO!"
Screamed a girl.

Marcus ran. Sprinting across the forest. Faster than he ever has. Faster than a cheetah. Running. Towards the girl.

"STOP! STOP! DONT TOUCH HER!" He screamed.

The girl screamed again. Seaming to get farther and farther away. He ran faster. To the girls scream. Tears streaming from the corners of his eyes. Yelling for her. Screaming himself. He stopped dead in his tracks. A man had heard his calls and had the girl in cuffs.

Struggling to get loose, she pleaded for help. Marcus examined her. She was under a cape. He wondered why. Then, with a single movement, the man flashed a knife and threw it up in the air. She knew it was coming. Screaming and struggling, the girl thrashed on the ground.

"N..." Marcus screamed.

The man raised the knife higher and higher his hand steady as if he had done it millions of times. He was aiming. Marcus ran at him. Throwing his arms on the man who had silently put his arm down to the girls back.

Whimpering, the girl was motionless. Afraid. Of what he would do next.

Marcus attached the man. Screaming and scratching and pulling. Grabbing the knife and getting ready to plunge it deep inside of the man who stabbed a helpless girl. With rage the knife came down. Only to hit the solid ground. He was gone.

Marcus then searched his surroundings. For the man or any sign of a trail to find him. He found nothing but clothing. Everywhere clothes of someone. A girl. The girl!

He saw blood. Lots of it.
Marcus ran to the lump of cape. Slowly but surly he lifted the cape off of the girl. She was naked. Her whole body showing. He grabbed her and hugged her. Glad she wasn't killed. She screamed in pain. He smiled and let her go gently.

He laid her on the ground and smiled at her. Then moved away to get her clothes. He picked her up as she was half asleep and fully clothed her himself. Not being the first time he had clothed someone else.

"Hello. How are you?"

"Who are you?"

"I am Marcus Wood. And you are?"

"Angela. Angela Simms. "

"Well Angela. Are you okay? Do you need help to stand? I wrapped your wound and clothed you. Hopefully it is ok that I did."

"Who? What? How?" She questioned. Scared and amazed all at once.

"Angela, I, Marcus Wood, helped fight the guy that stabbed you with a knife. I, Marcus Wood, then helped you into your clothing. And now, I, Marcus Wood am trying to help you to stand. Now, are you okay?"

"I believe so." Spoke Angela.

Thank The Lord for her understanding.

Marcus helped Angela up and they started walking.

"Ummmmm. Where are we going?"

"A place. I have no idea! I am tracking down a guy that killed my mother. He deserves to die as well."

"Well, I will come with you and help find your mother. I will also have to ask you to never talk of seeing me that way again. Deal?" She help out her hand.

"Deal."
