Hyunjin's POV
"Class dismissed!" our professor said
Finally, all of our classes are done for today. I have been sitting the whole day to finish all the lectures without me learning anything. I am just proud of myself for enduring those hours.
"Are you really not coming?" Changbin asked again
"Stop asking. You'll get the same answer."
"Where is our MVP?!" Jisung shouted as he entered the classroom along with our friends
"You guys will just be disappointed." Changbin said
"Why-" Minho
"I'll answer. This guy right here is not gonna attend the important meeting you guys will have, instead he will go to something important." Seungmin said
"Is it today?" Jeongin asked
I nodded.
"Again?!" Chan annoyingly asked
"Yes. Again. You know I never missed one competition she had."
"And she missed all yours." Felix chuckled
"That's fine. She doesn't even know who Hyunjin is. Why would she go to his game?" Seungmin laughed
"Do you guys remember when he tried calling her but she ignored him?" Minho laughed too
"She didn't hear me-"
"Then what about when you waved at her but she didn't even look at you?" Jeongin
"She didn't see me-"
"Should I remind you the day you asked her to watch your game but she just walked away as if she didn't see and hear you?" Chan laughed
"You are all assholes."
I just left them in the classroom and changed my shirt in the car, then I drove to the Ice Arena of Baekho University. I am gonna watch an ice skating competition between students of Baekho, to determine who will compete against other universities.
I have been watching all her competition, never missed one. I witnessed every time she would receive medals and trophies whenever she wins first place. Always the first place. That's really amazing. She never received the second place.
I'm starting to think if I'm her lucky charm.
I have arrived at the Ice Arena and a lot of people started arriving the venue, most of them are students who attends the BU and the other near universities. I can't blame them. Everyone knows her, and they are really amazed with her skill.
Her skills are no joke. She would move as if she can't see anyone and she is free. How can she do all those without getting scared?
I went inside and sat in the lower area to see her closely and watch her properly. All the students who are participating, including her, are sitting near the area where the judges are sitting.
The competition started with those who I am not familiar with the faces, and she is last to perform her routine. They were given 2 minutes each to perform. Those who performed before were really nervous which gives her the chance to be able to claim the first place.
I am sure she can do it. No doubt at all.
"Excuse me, are you Hwang Hyunjin?" a female student asked
"Uh... yes?"
"I'm a fan! You are so handsome when you're playing! Omg! Can we take a picture?" she asked
"Sure." I answered, and smiled for the picture.
"Thank you!" she excitedly said
I thought it was the end but some students recognized me as well and asked me for some pictures too. Fuck. My teammates and the coach would find out where I am- I mean they know where I am for sure, but they will tease me about this.
Her Mom arrived and sat near where she is. How I knew it was her Mom? She is always present every competition she has and never missed one- No. I think she missed one and it was when she claimed the 4th champion ever since she entered Baekho.
Finally, it was her turn. She started with all those graceful steps and movements that amazed everyone. All of us are focused on her, as if she is the only one that matters.
Is she in pain? Every time she moves, her face frown as if she is in deep pain. What happened to her? Did something bad happen?
"She is doing the triple axel- Oh!" the announcer
She didn't do it. She didn't spin in the air, not even once. She is limiting her movements as if something is wrong.
I saw how disappointed her face is when she finished her routine. Fuck. What happened.
After almost 30 minutes, they were called to be rewarded. Everyone is being called-
"Second place!" host said with all the energy
She received it.
Fuck. She looks disappointed. I can't watch this.
I left the venue and just got in my car. That's really surprising to me, especially that she limited her movement. I have been watching her competition and her scores were always far from the others' scores.
What happened to her?
I checked my phone and started receiving messages and calls from my teammates saying that the coach is mad at me. My coach also sent me a message that I should be there or else they would wait there until I arrive.
Few minutes after, people started leaving the venue, and rain started pouring. Everyone is running somewhere they can stay at until the rain stops, and I was right. Some stayed in the restaurants outside the arena.
I saw the familiar car where she always ride, it just drove away. I hope she is fine.
I started my engine and drove my car while I dialed Coach Tri's number.
[Where are you?!]
"I'm on my way. Chill. Don't be mad. My lover just lost her game-"
[What?! She did!? How?! That's impossible!]
"I know- Oh. Wait." I said and ended the call as I saw her walking under the rain with no umbrella at all
What the fuck? I thought their car left already.
I stopped the car, "Excuse me? Why are you walking?"
She looked at me with rain falling on her face.
I hurriedly got out of my car, opened my umbrella, and went to her, "I'll give you a ride-" I didn't continue when I saw her tears
She started walking.
"H-Hey!" I called
She ignored me.
"Harin."
