The stillness of the garden bore down on Vayansh, driving home the vast emptiness of his world.Gently cool, the night air filled with the faint scent of jasmine coming from the estate's blossoms.Every aspect of the mansion he built and every blade of grass in its gardens was a reminder of a life he once had a life like a distant dream now.He knelt next to a fountain and let his fingers swirl into the cold water, studying his distorted reflection in the ripples. Ayanshi and Avyaan were in his thoughts. They had been the only comfort he knew in these years of loneliness. They were his rock, the one reason to persevere, but in his heart he wondered whether he was giving he was them father they deserved - He was afraid in part that his struggle would touch their pure white spirits. And yet after a few moments when doubt hit hard, his senses reported a presence. He turned and saw Aarohi standing a few steps away, her figure backlit in the faint light filtering from the mansion. Her expression was hesitant, as though she had not meant to intrude here. But there was something in her eyes that told him she, too was driven here by unspoken meanings.

"I... didn't mean to interrupt," Aarohi said quietly, almost like a whisper. "I was just... having trouble sleeping."

Vayansh gave her a small nod, feeling a little unsure why having her here felt so comforting. She looked out of place, but somehow, she fit with this night like a missing piece. "The garden kind off pulls people in when sleep is a struggle," he said, his voice tired.

Aarohi stepped a little closer, her eyes looking down at the fountain where his hands were in the water. "It's really beautiful here. So peaceful."

"Yeah," Vayansh murmured, glancing down too. "But peace... it can trick you."

The sadness in his voice struck Aarohi, and before she thought about it, she reached out and touched his arm softly. "I don't know what you've been through, Vayansh Raichand. But sometimes, peace isn't something we just find. It's something we make for ourselves."

Vayansh looked at her, surprise flickering in his eyes. No one had talked to him like this in years—not since she left. There was something in Aarohi's words and voice that felt both strange and familiar, like a reminder of the man he once was.

"I don't know if that's something I can do anymore," he said, his voice cold. "Some things can't be changed."

"Maybe not," Aarohi said gently. "But that doesn't mean you're stuck with them forever." Her gaze softened, her eyes showing understanding. "Maybe... the way ahead doesn't have to be so lonely."

He looked at her for a moment, feeling the weight of her words. For the first time in a long while, he felt a tiny spark of something beyond sadness, like a whisper of hope he'd nearly forgotten.

As they stood together in the quiet night, Vayansh couldn't help but think if this random meeting was fate's way of telling him that even in the darkest nights, there could still be a bit of light. And maybe, just maybe, he didn't have to go this path alone.

The garden seemed to hold its breath around them, the night alive with a symphony of distant crickets and the occasional rustle of leaves. Vayansh found his mind drifting back to memories of when the garden had been filled with laughter, the sound of footsteps running through the grass—his children chasing butterflies, their mother's soft voice calling them back inside as the evening fell. Those memories felt like they belonged to someone else's life now, a life he could see but not touch.

He glanced sideways at Aarohi, who stood quietly beside him. She, too, seemed lost in thought, her gaze following the gentle ripples in the fountain. The moonlight softened her features, casting a silvery glow over her dark hair, which fell in waves past her shoulders. There was a strength in her stance, a quiet resilience that intrigued him. It was rare to meet someone who didn't shy away from the shadows in his eyes, who wasn't afraid of the weight he carried.
