Open with Satoru visibly distressed after a fight with the girl. Maybe she accuses him if being distantcor prioritizing his dangerous jujutsu life over her. Satoru's frustration doesn't get any better as he questions whether his feelings for her are enough to bridge the gap between their worlds. He seeks out Suguru for solace, as he always does, not realizing the weight of his actions.

Satoru knocked on Suguru's dorm door, Suguru lets him in. Satoru slumped onto Suguru's couch, running a hand to rough his disheveled white hair.

Satoru : "I don't get it, Suguru. I'm doing everything I can to make this work, but she doesn't see it. She doesn't understand."

Suguru, who had been carefully arranging tea cups on the table, paused mid-motion. He didn't need to ask who she was.

Suguru : "She's scared, Satoru. Your world... it's dangerous."

Suguru said quietly, sitting across from him.

Suguru : "Maybe she just needs time."

Satoru : "Time?"

Satoru scoffed, leaning back.

Satoru : "I don't even know if I have time. I mean, what if she's right? What if it's selfish to drag her into all this?

Suguru's heart twisted at the sight of Satoru's rare vulnerability. He wanted to tell him that he wasn't selfish. that he deserved love—but the words wouldn't come out.

Suguru : "Satoru..."

Suguru began hesitantly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Suguru : "You don't have to go through this alone. You've always had me, and I-"

He stopped, the words catching in his throat.
Satoru tilted his head, his vibrant blue eyes narrowing in concern.

Satoru : "What's wrong?"

Suguru took a shaky breath, his resolve faltering under the weight of Satoru's gaze.

Suguru : "I care about you, Satoru. More than I should, More than just a friend."

The room fell into a suffocating silence. Satoru stared at him, the words sinking in, leaving a stunned, unreadable expression on his face.

Satoru struggles to process Suguru's confession. He doesn't share the same feelings but doesn't want to lose Suguru either. The tension between them becomes unbearable, leaving their friendship stained and uncertain.

Satoru : "I... Suguru,"

Satoru began, his voice uncharacteristically soft.

Satoru : "I didn't know."

Suguru : "I didn't want you to know,"

Suguru said quickly, standing up and turning away.

Suguru : "But I couldn't keep lying to you, not when it hurts this much."

Satoru reached out, but his hand fell short, hovering in the air.

Satoru : "I don't feel the same way. You know that, right? But.. you're still my best friend."

The words were meant to comfort, but they only deepened the painful ache in Suguru's chest.

Suguru : "I know,"

His voice trembling.

Suguru : "But I don't think I can keep pretending nothing's changed."

Suguru didn't dare to look at Satoru as the silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating. He felt exposed, as if he had stripped away every layer of himself and stood bare before someone who could never truly understand.

Suguru : "Say something,"

Suguru finally whispered, his voice trembling despite his best efforts to steady it.

Satoru : "I... don't know what to say,"

Satoru replied, his usual confidence faltering.
The vibrant energy taht seemed to radiate from him dimmed, replaced by a hesitance that Suguru had never seen before.

For a moment, neither of them moved. The quiet crackle of the tea kettle on the stove filled the air, an ironic reminder of the domesticity they had always shared. It was the kind of silence that came with the knowledge that everything has changed and there was no going back.

Suguru forced himself to turn around, meeting Satoru's eyes for just a moment. The blue he once found mesmerizing now felt like ice, cold and unyielding.

Suguru : "I'm sorry,"

Suguru said, though he wasn't sure if the apology was meant for Satoru or himself.

Suguru : "I shouldn't have said anything."

Satoru : "No-"

Satoru cut in, standing up quickly.

Satoru : "Don't do that. Don't apologize. You were honest and I-"

He broke off, running a hand through his hair, frustrated with his own inability to articulate what he was feeling.

Suguru managed a weak smile, bitter and resigned.

Suguru : "It's okay, Satoru. Really. You don't owe me anything."

Satoru took a step forward, is hand twitching as if he wanted to reach out but couldn't.

Satoru : "You're still my best friend, Suguru. That doesn't change. I don't want to lose you."

The words hung in the air, well-intentioned but hollow. Suguru shook his head, looking away.

Suguru : "Maybe it's already too late."

he muttered.

The faint sound of the kettle whistling signaled the end of the moment. Suguru turned toward it, grateful for the distraction, while Satoru stood frozen in place, unsure of how to mend something that was already breaking.

As Suguru poured the tea, his hands trembled slightly, betraying the calm mask he fought so hard to maintain. Satoru noticed but said nothing, the weight of unspoken words pressing down on them both.

Suguru : "Maybe some things are better left unsaid,"

Suguru finally murmured, his voice almost lost in the sound of the whistling kettle.
Satoru looked at him, his heart heavy with a guilt he couldn't fully name.
