I kept running and didn't stop until I got to... Wal-Mart? Really? Oh well. I walked back into the camping section and saw a huge asile of tents already sent up for me! Yay!
I grabbed the biggest black sweatshirt I could find, before I climbed into the biggest, comfiest looking tent I saw. It was already 9:00. Knowing that the store will close at 11:00, I waited out my time in the tent. Thankfully no employees or customers walked by.
I was blissfully humming along to the store music. I quickly checked my phone, wanting to preserve the battery. 10:59. Then all of a sudden. The music and lights shut off. I heard very faint footsteps before I was left in the dark, eerie silence of the store.
First things first. I slipped the huge black hoodie over my head, pulled up the hood, and exited the tent. It was cold and i was also shielding myself from cameras, just in case.
Wow. I really can't see a damn thing. Only well enough to know that the survival supplies are one aisle over. I half walked, half crawled my way to the next isle. I didnt want to risk running into anything.
Ooh yay! I'm in the next aisle. I felt down the aisle for the survival kits. Found one! Feels like... A backpack. I unzipped it and felt around for a flashlight. My hand gripped a cold metal bar. A flashlight! Woohoo! I'm on a roll today! I did an epic mental happy dance similar to Gangnam Style (even though I hate that song).
I pushed the button on the flashlight to find that it doesnt work. Crap. Hmmm... Ooh! Mabee there are some batteries somewhere in here. Found 'em! Now I swear to God, if these arent the right size.... I unscrewed the flashlight, and dropped the batteries in. It works!!! Oh yeah! My mental happy dance just got happier.
I decided to walk to the front of the store to get a cart and stock up on food. While walking through the aisles, I, for the first time, noticed how truly terrifying Wal-Mart is at night. No matter how much i convinced myself, that i'm the only living creature in the store, i felt like the shadows were watching me.
I literally started to run for the carts. Just a few more aisles! I finally reached them, but the squeaky wheels didnt help to calm my nerves. I got out my phone and ear buds and decided to listen to music. It helped. A lot. I had the volume blasting. It was really helping get Tre and the creepy shadows of Wal-Mart off my mind.
I immediately took the cart an went to the aisle with cookies and candy. Oreos!!! I love oreos!!!! Oh my god.... they have giant dark chocolate hershey bars! Even bigger than king size!!! Yummy!
I filled the cart full of oreos of every kind, hershey bars, butterfinger bars, and many other assortments of sweets before i went back to the tent. Time to feast. I first chowed down on most of the oreos before grabbing a two liter of Dr.Pepper.
Then, there was a crashing of glass and emergency lights turned on. I turned off my music and grabbed a few handfuls oreos for the road and ran out of the tent. I immediatly froze knowing I had forgotten my flashlight and I could hear footsteps. I dont know where they're coming from though.
This stupid store is so echoy(if that's a word). First i would think it was behind me and then it seemed like that next one over. I was scared for my life, sanity, and oreos. The last thing I remember, was hearing a gunshot
