"Astrid are you almost ready the cab will be here any moment," Atasha screams?

"Yes, I'm almost ready... I just have a few more things to grab," I yell back.

I walk out of my old room and into the living room with my last few bags, and set them down. Just as I start to sit down we hear the chain of honks from a very impatient taxi cab driver. Atasha helps me up, we grab our purses and head out to the taxi.

"Where to," the old Indian man asks?

"the local car fixer please," Atasha replies as we hop into the cab.

The taxi swerves into the road without looking to see if there was any cars coming. we both throw our hands out to grab something and look at each other like this is going to be our last car ride. It takes a couple of minutes to get to the local car fixer, once we get there we pay the driver and walk into the building.

"Hi my name is Astrid I'm here to pick up my car," I say to the man at the front desk.

"May I see ID please," the kind old man asks me?

I reach into my purse grab my wallet and hand him my ID.

"Okay Astrid follow me," the man says as he starts to walk through a door that says get assistance to get trough.

I follow him as he leads me down a hall to a garage with what seems like 50 billion cars. "This is Chris he will show you to your car and tell you everything they did and have you fill out some last papers," he says while pointing to a shorter broader older man.

Chris gives me my keys to my car, tells me everything, and has me sign some last papers then me and Tasha head back to our house to get our stuff and start the drive to what is going to be our new home.

*****NEXT DAY*****

It's 10pm and we are finally pulling into the driveway of our new home. My car comes to a stop and me and Tasha both sigh in a relief of not having to drive any longer. We step out of the car grab our purses and take our first steps into our new home. As soon as you walk in you see wooden floor all throughout the house. the first room is the living room leading into a family room/kitchen. For me the kitchen was amazing (I was the cooker out of the two of us) there was a bunch of counter space, cabinet space, a built in cutting board, and there was even a drawer specially made for utensils. I LOVED IT!!! Off of the living room the is a little hallway if you go left the first door is Tasha's room then if you go all the way down the hall you will come to the bathroom, and if you go right you will come to a door that opens up to my bedroom. We also have a small backyard! After looking around me and Tasha met back up in the living room we looked at each other and started smiling.

"Look Astrid we finally made it to Seattle and got a house together, we finally did it," Tasha squealed.

"We did it," I agreed with her.

I knew at that moment that both of us had never felt more accomplished... we got told for years on years that we were being foolish and our dreams would fail and that we would fail but here we are accomplishing our dream and getting ready to start collage, that doesn't sound like failing to me. I then looked down at my phone to see what time it is "Uuh Tasha I think we should get some sleep so we can actually get up to get unpacked," I say to her pointing my phone to her showing her what time it was. She nods her head in agreement then we walked out to the car grabbed our pillow and blankets locked up the car went back inside and cuddled each other tell we both fell into a deep sleep.
