"Amber!" I said leaping from the table my foot missing the table by a hair. Feeling guilty about my recent daydreams. Ambers 5'9 thick and curvy just how I like them her eyes are a deep brown and so pretty she had a sparkle in her eyes like a little kid that I loved she has long brown curly hair; I love all the style she put it in and her makeup, nails, eyebrows, lashes and skin is always flawless. She's a makeup artist and she's really good at what she does and I love her smile most of all. How could I think of anyone else? I held my arms out to hug her, squeezing her tightly into my body. I could smell her perfume pear by Victoria's secret, it was one of my favorites. "You smell good" I said reminiscing on our old day holding her tightly. I remember she used to wear it all the time when we first started dating. I should've noticed that scent before I saw her maybe my dreams of riley clouded my mind. I could see riley out of the corner of my eye she was standing beside a table nearby, she was glaring at me. Was something wrong?
Teddy was talking with a lady at a nearby phone store not paying us any attention. I pulled away from our hold and kissed her softly on the lips and felt her smile just as I was pulling away from the kiss. Did Amber notice the way Riley was looking at me I'm sure she could see her just as clear as I could. Is that why she smiled? "Oh my god, I missed you so much!" she said jumping into my arms startling me I stumbled back but luckily kept my balance. I couldn't help but laugh looking at her like this made me feel happy and complete but also like a jerk. I'm not sure but I couldn't show my excitement, I was too lost in thought. I smiled as hard as I could and whispered "I missed you more." She stopped and looked at me with a blank stare "why are you whispering, what are you trying to hide?" I laughed nervously hoping she didn't since my uneasiness "nothing I don't know why I laughed." I said smacking my hand against my forehead.
I grabbed her hand and walked over to riley. I could see Riley's mood change, it was like she was scared I could refrain from laughing at her drastic change in mood. I wonder if Amber noticed it too but giving the look on her face she noticed something. When we arrived in front of her she smiled lightly almost a sly hint of jealousy and flirting. "Amber this is my friend Riley, Riley this is my girlfriend Amber." Riley smiled a fake smile and shook Amber's hand. "Nice to meet you amber, Shane has told me so much about you" she looked from me to Amber "it's like we known each other for years." She lied, why she lie. Was she lying to help me or was she just being nice.
I believe I was grateful for what Riley said but something felt wrong. Amber played along but I could tell she knew something was up. I grabbed their hands and headed for the nearest store which happens to be hot topic. We walked into the store hand in hand they seemed oddly comfortable with that. They wouldn't stop looking at each other it was starting to freak me out. They let go of my hand almost simultaneously they went on their own looking at things in the store.
I wasn't sure who to follow so I kept to myself. Looking at some belts staring at a red blue and yellow superman belt it looked more like a comic strip with seat buckle as the belt buckle. It was twenty dollars and I was sure I was going to buy it. I grabbed it and placed it on my left shoulder. Amber grabbed the buckle and laughed I wasn't sure how long she was behind me but I'm sure she was there long enough to notice a matching belt for her. She rubbed my upper waist looking past me she points to a wonder woman one just like my superman one. I looked though the sizes and placed it on top of my belt. She hugged me and I could feel her smiling on my shoulder blade. I turned around to see amber bright eyed like a little kid. Every time I see that I fall in love even more. I smiled at her then walked away hoping she would follow me but she didn't she just kept looking around.
I could see Riley's body out of the corner of my eye. She was talking to the cashier I felt confused unsure what to do. I looked for amber but she wasn't where I left her. I began to walk to the back of the store looking for amber. While passing riley I overheard her give the cashier her number. I smiled to myself wondering was she doing it for show or was she just doing it to me jealous. Making my way to the back I noticed a poster rack I skimmed through the posters stopping at one of two girls kissing it was pretty tasteful giving the picture was of two nude women. I could smell amber then I felt her arms wrapped around my waist. "Are you okay, baby?" she asked softly almost whispering I was still confused by Riley's reaction earlier and wasn't sure how to express that to amber.
