Y/n fell to his knees exhausted.

Littered around him were the bodies of beasts, man and monstrosity.

He had killed them all with his bare hands.

"HAHAHA PENTAKILL!!" A broken and distorted voice called out.

The glee and unveiled joy in its tone made his blood boil.

He stood to his full height and glared up at the empty sky.

They couldn't kill him so they meant to break him.

An impossible feat.

At least with how they were trying to do it.

This little "game" they had him playing was nothing more than a cycle of repeated one sided beat downs.

They'd send in any manner of beast to be slaughtered, men and women they called their champions also raised their blades to him only to fall at his feet.

They were coming for his head.

Though in truth the "gods" as they liked to call themselves couldn't allow that,he'd simply return in another timeline.

And they knew that.

He couldn't allow it either,he had far too much to lose in this timeline.

Y/n scoffed as a lizard looking man suddenly appeared before him.

He paid him and the great sword on his back no mind.

His thoughts were elsewhere.

The many lives he had lived granted him much experience.

So much in fact that he went from a coward who flinched in the face of hostility, someone who threw up and cried for dozens of sleepless nights after witnessing the light leave another's eyes up close.

Someone who was ruled by fear.

To the man he is today,a man able to stare down false gods unflinchingly and let not even a grunt loose at unceasing pain.

He had become a man of impenetrable will.

Y/n let loose a small chuckle maybe he had developed a bit of a superiority complex down the line.

All for her.

The lizard like man had been talking to himself the entire time and when he realized y/n wasn't paying him any attention his anger boiled over and he charged.

The exchange was instant.

The lizard had swung his great sword wildly in a large arch.

Y/n In reply had seemingly not moved.

Yet the lizard man's body crumbled to the floor and slid against the bloody corpse filled terrain.

His head had been cleanly torn from his neck,y/n looked between the head in his hands and his opponent's body then tossed it to the side.

As his thoughts turned to powder he let loose a frustrated sigh.

These "gods" were strong but they weren't strong enough to keep him here.

If he truly fought with everything in him with the intent of escaping he could.

But that would end in the worst way for those he loved.

They didn't touch his family, friends and all that he'd built to keep him in check.

Keep him here.

Because without them he'd be nothing but a walking timebomb.

And he'd be sure to explode in their faces.
