Vanessa's POV:
Lunch

It was lunch and I was heading to my spot, where I ate lunch everyday. It was a big old oak tree and had an opening where you can sit and do other stuff, like read, do homework, and write.

I was doing the usual; which consists of writing in my journal and eating an apple, with water (of course). That was my meal everyday. Laura has a better lunch than me, which has a ham sandwich, some yogurt, cookies, and fruits & veggies. Also, water to drink.

As I was eating my apple, my best friend, Rydel Lynch came and ate lunch with me. Sometimes or should I say most times, she come and sit with me because her brothers annoy her to the very last nerve.

Rydel has 4 brothers; Riker, Rocky, Ross, and Ryland. I've met Ross and Ryland, considering my sister is friends with Ross, but I've never met Riker or Rocky.

"Hey Vanessa!" Rydel, yelled across the school yard. I waved and smile at her running towards me.

"Hey Delly." I spoke quietly, putting away my journal.

"How's it going?" I said calmly.

"I don't know, but Riker and Rocky kept talking about last week's football game against the Mustangs." Delly spoke getting her lunch out. She always gave me some food from her lunch.

We talked about other stuff, like school, work and school gossip. The school's bell rings, 20 minutes later, indicating that we have a couple minutes to get to class.

"Hey, can I come over and study tonight?" I asked gathering my things and putting them into my bag.

"Sure, but I have to ask." She said opening the main entrance doors into a busy hallway heading towards our locker.

"Okay," I said opening my locker, knowing what will happen when I go home.

"Also, we will have to pick up Ross," she added closing her locker.

"Yeah, and Laura too." I whispered, walking towards math with Rydel.

Rydel nodded her head and continue walking, knowing my shyness around other people.

Rydel's POV:

The rest of the day went by so slow. In gym (our last class), we were playing dodge-ball, against the boys. Lucky, Rocky or Riker weren't in any of my classes, but Vanessa was in all of my classes. Which was a good sign.

I know Vanessa is shy and quiet. People asked me 'why are you friends with her?' I never really knew why, but I've always consider her as my sister (even though we knew each other since middle school).

Snapping back to reality by being hit by a dodge-ball, I realized that it was Ellington who threw the ball at me. I saw him chuckled at me. I blushed a deep red, embarrassed of my actions, heading towards Vanessa on the bench.

Ellington's POV:

I notice how Rydel was thinking in the middle of the dodge-ball game. She was standing there looking cute. WAIT! Did I say CUTE?! No! I can't like her it will ruin my social status.

You see I'm QB and the most popular guy in this whole school. Plus I'm dating the head cheerleader, Brittany Van Frank. And Rydel is a popular-geek. A popular-geek is a geek, but they have more social status than regular geeks do.

A pretty, beautiful, gorgeous, smart geek. Snap out of it! You're dating Brittany Van Frank, HEAD CHEERLEADER!

Riker's POV:

I saw my sister hanging around a girl with raven black hair and the most gorgeous brown eyes you've ever seen.

I was in my last last class, waiting for school to end. The bell rang, signalling, that school was done for the week.

"Riker!" My sister Rydel screamed from the end of the hall.

"I'm bringing my friend over for to study." Rydel said coming up to my locker.

"Sure, but Coach Moon called for an extra practice before the homecoming game." I explained grabbing my backpack and shutting my locker.

"Ok, so I guess I'll see you and Rocky at dinner?" She said walking towards her locker.

I was walking towards Rocky's locker, so we can go football practice together. I saw Ellington, our QB talking to Rocky. I didn't know they were friends.

Rocky's POV:

I was gathering my homework for English. I don't even want to write a 10-page essay about Romeo and Juliet. If I don't, then I would get kick off the team. I'm just going to ask Ross for some help

All of a sudden, my best friend Ratliff, came up to my locker ready for football practice. Ratliff's real name is Ellington Ratliff, but he prefers Ratliff. He thinks it's cool.

"Hey man! What's up?" Ratliff said bro hugging me, once I shut my locker.

"Not much, tho. Ready for football practice?" I said remembering my English binder. I reopened my locker, waiting for his response.

"Ya man! We are so going to kick the Coyotes asses tomorrow night!" He said grunting his teeth together.

I rolled my eyes, shutting my locker again. He can be so competitive, sometimes.

"Hey guys, I didn't know you guys are friends?" Riker spoke coming towards us.

"Yeah. Since I've tried out for football." I confirmed him. Ratliff nodded in agreement, while Riker just gave me the 'why-the-fuck-didn't-you-tell-me-you're-friends-with-the-QB' face.

"I'm surprised, that you didn't know! That's why I'm hardly home." I read his mind. "So, I think we should get to practice." Ratliff spoke after an awkward moment. Riker and I nodded and headed to football practice.

The best part of football practice is watching the cheerleaders practice. You see, I've crushing on this very cute girl, Maia. She just happens to be Ratliff's twin. Shocking, I'm falling for my best friends sister.

Riker's POV:

Once I finished getting my football uniform on, I jogged out to the field where the rest of the team was. As I was making my way to the field, I saw Rydel's friend. What's her name again!? Oh yeah, Vanessa.

I waved to her and she looked confused, at who was waving to her. Vanessa waved back shyly and went back to her book. I chuckled quietly and headed to the field.

'Who knew the jock falling in-love with a nobody that my sister is friends with,' I thought as a jogged towards the field.

"Hey Lynch, Get your butt over!" Coach Simmons yelled at me. I ran the rest of the way there.

"Lynch, I want 10 laps around the track," he yelled in my face. I sighed and started my 10 laps.
