Promise

chapter 4- party!! part 1

many things happened with me and rob, we started talking during class and always scolded by the teacher, we always hang-out at the grandstand and talk random topics,we seem to enjoy it. these days we usually walk home together because he just transferred to our neighborhood at the time we met.

I never expected to have a friend again in my whole life and I never dreamt to have this feeling of happiness and warmth inside me.

It was late in the afternoon, we were sitting at the grandstand area facing the wide open field, watching the orange sky as the sun begins to set. wind swept, feeling the cold damp air. it was peaceful and it seem to be the perfect place to hang around.

I took a sip at my choc-tea, it was half empty so I open the cap and drink it in one gulp. I was still thirsty and I asked rob.

"hey can I have your zen tea?"

"you know this flavor is different from yours, you'll get stomach ache by later."

"nah,who cares I'm thirsty."

"here.."

he gave it to me and I sip.

"you know you're very interesting lily."

I chuckled.

"why would you say that?"

he look at me.

"because it reminds me of someone I knew in the past."

"who is it?"

"I don't know her name anymore. I'm 15 already and that was 9 years ago, of course I can't remember, but one thing for sure, that person is very special."

I laughed so hard that I choke and the cup slip from my hand.

"ohhh men......"

"OK that's enough for today now let's go home and by the way it isn't funny."

I grab my bag and he went down. I was a little bit disappointed that my drink spilled but what's bothering me is that is she really precious to him? what happened to them anyway? there were so many question inside my head.

I went down and ran to catch up with him.

"that girl you said earlier? is she... is she your friend? what happened anyway?

he was quiet and then he stop.

"yeah, she's my best friend."

he look down. he was depressed.

" you know just forget it."

he ran.

"hey!! wait!!"

"the sky's gonna be dark we should hurry."

I know he was hiding his sadness and didn't want to bring that up again so I just zip my mouth.

we were almost home and then rob check his phone.

"hey there's a party tomorrow 8pm at my friends house, wanna come? it's gonna be fun."

"I'm not sure if I can go.......but it's weekend and....."

"and what?"

"and...."
