Grace Schultz' POV
"Grace, let's go to the park! We can run around and have fun!"
"Grace, want to go see the new movie!" "Grace, there's a street fair tomorrow, let's go on the rides!"
Why did you have to move away, Harper? I sighed as I stared across the street at the house that used to belong to my best friend, Harper Colbert.
My thoughts were interrupted by Mom knocking on her door. "Time for dinner, Grace." I nod and walks to the kitchen.
"So, Grace, how was school today?" Dad asks. "It was okay. In science we did an experiment." Mom and Dad nod and eat their food.
After dinner, I finish my homework and get ready for bed. I pull out the note Harper left for me, and notice the small purple flashlight in the drawer. We used our flashlights to signal each other with Morse Code. I reread the note.
Dear Grace,
My dad got a new job, in New York. We have to move away, and I'll miss you. We can still call and email each other.
Love, Harper
I sit on my bed, and glance at the new neighbors at Harper's house. Good night, Harper. I fall asleep and dream about the memories I had with Harper.
