Grace Schultz' POV
The next morning, Harper and I woke up to go to the school. We grabbed a flashlight, snacks, and water. My parents were still asleep, so I left a note saying we'd be back in a few hours.
We biked to the school, and chained them to a rusty bike stand.
"This is so crazy!" Harper laughs and smiles. "I know right?" We pull open the door, and it makes an ominous squeak. "Wonder why this place was abandoned." I muse. "Maybe it was haunted..." Harper pretends to be a ghost, and we laugh.
We continue to walk through the dusty building, our footprints making marks in the layer of dust. "This is spooky, you know. All alone, in a dark abandoned school." Harper whispers. For once, she actually looks a bit scared. "Come on, it's not like there are actually ghosts here." I say, unafraid. "There could be..." she mutters.
We keep going deeper into the depths of the school.
