After that day Lucy's mother rarely came out of her room. Lucy started to see her less and less. It got so bad that her grandmother had to take her in.
It was Lucy's 6th birthday. Exactly 1 year since her father has passed. Her mother was hesitant to throw a birthday party, but her grandmother said it wasn't fair that Lucy were to not have a party. It wasn't Lucy's fault her father died.
So they had the party. It was at the park.All of Lucy's friends came and had the best time. All the girls played on the playground and even played with the volleyball her friend Samantha gave her.
At around 6:45 pm the party ended. All the girls went home with their parents. While Lucy,her mother,and grandmother were left to clean up. Lucy packed all her gifts in her mother's van,her mother put all the food away,and her grandmother threw away all the garbage.
Once they were all home Lucy went to work introducing her new toys to her room. She organized all her toys over again so it would fit her standards. When everything was in their proper place she went to go change and get ready for bed.
She changed into her pink nightgown with blue and purple bows on the sleeves. She brushed her teeth,her hair,grabbed her stuffed bear and went to bed.
