Y/N had been hiding since she could remember in the motel room. She was recovering from the torture but also trying to figure out a game plan as she had no car, barely any money and no support.

However, as she turned on the television again she was met with Michael and Lincoln. They were on national television, being filmed for what sounded like the truth of it all. It was the The Company, the set up/framing of Lincoln, the truth of Mahone. She watched intensely.

Until Michael said her name...

"Y/N Y/L/N," he spoke and Y/N's heart dropped as she moved closer to the TV, reaching out.

"Y/N, if you're listening, I know I can't ask for another chance, I can only hope by now, you've found your safe haven. I took advantage of you, of your commitment to help others and it turned into a nightmare. I wish I could do things differently, but it's too late for that now. It's too late for you and for others. I've considered many ways to apologise but I must arrive at one," he spoke.

It was a message. It was based on the Big Book for addicts. Y/N looked around the motel room, looking for one before finding it.

"I love you, Y/N. I always will," Michael ended.

He wanted her to meet him at St. Thomas Hospital in Akron, Ohio at one.

She couldn't get there though. She had no car. She needed to get creative.

-

"Michael Crane, you have a phone call. Repeat, Michael Crane you have a phone call."

Y/N sat in her motel bed, phone against her ear as she heard the intercom. She tapped at her thigh as she waited, hoping he would get the message.

"This is Mr. Crane," he spoke over the phone and Y/N let out a loud breath, head rolling back to hit the frame of the bed as she heard his voice.

"You're there," she whispered.

"I'm here," he responded.

"I got your message, but I have no car. I couldn't get to you in time so this was the only thing I could think of," she explained.

"I swore I'd leave you alone, Y/N, but that note, it hurt me," he whispered.

"I know, but I thought I was doing it to protect your safety."

"I know, but I had to contact you," he responded.

"Because I have something," she muttered.

"How do you know?"

"Michael, back in Gila, I was going to come back to you once I realised. Somebody grabbed me...and they," she took a deep breath. "They told me that my father had given me something."

"Did someone hurt you?" he asked, voice low.

Someone did hurt her, but she couldn't tell him that. "It's ok. I got away," she whispered, breathing heavily. "Michael, honey, I want this to be over," she muttered, closing her eyes as she took a deep breath. "I want our happy ending."

"That makes two of us," he spoke with a smile.

"Do you think that's possible?" she asked, voice breathy and unsure.

"With your help, yes. It's just a question of looking at whatever it is that your father gave you."

"It's just...it's just a key," Y/N muttered, looking at the golden key with a crown in the middle in her hand. "It's just a key."
