In the morning~
Yn woke up earlier than her husband and left for work. The whole day, she felt guilty and couldn’t shake off the feeling, knowing she hadn’t fulfilled the promise she made to Jungkook last night.
They had planned to meet at her favorite restaurant at 5 p.m.
By now, it was 5:45 p.m., and Yn still hadn’t called or texted me. I was getting worried, but something told me she wouldn’t come. I decided to message her.
Jk: Babe, where are you? Are you okay?
Luv: Yes, I’m fine. Why?
Wait... she forgot about our date?
Jungkook felt heartbroken.
The Yn he knew would never forget something like this. She had been so distant lately, too.
He had tried talking to her about it, but she always brushed it off.
Jungkook got up from the restaurant and drove to her company, where she usually spent most of her time.
Her secretary saw him and walked over to greet him.
Minji: "Hello, sir. Are you looking for Mrs. Lee?"
Jk: "Yes, is she in her office?"
Minji: "No, she left the company about 10 minutes ago."
Jk: "Did she mention where she was going?"
Minji: "I think she went to meet a friend."
Jk: "Alright, thank you."
He got into his car and called her.
Yn: "Hi! Why are you calling?"
Jk: "Can we meet?"
Yn: "I’m really busy right now, sorry."
Jk: "I won’t take much of your time. Where are you?"
Yn: "I’m at the company, but you can just tell me over the phone what happened."
Jk: "It’s okay. We’ll talk at home." [Cold]
His eyes were teary. Why was she lying to him? What was she hiding? And why was she being so cold and distant?
