Your POV

No! Not again, this can't happen again! It was only Jordan and I left. Kid's resonance had not only failed to kill Asura, it barely damaged him at all. If that thing should be called a him. Maka and soul were gone. Wherever the heck they went when Soul freaked out and Maka followed him into the scythe. Well, she didn't follow him, her soul did, but that doesn't matter now!

I look around and see Kid, Liz, and Patty sprawled out on a boulder. I turn around feeling nauseous, only to see Tsubaki and BlackStar perfectly still, looking dead, and it terrified me.

"They're fine for now. Focus on the task at hand!" Jordan commanded.

It wasn't like I didn't want Asura dead. I had every reason to want to watch him die, to kill him myself. But I wasn't just scared. I was horrified enough that when I looked back at the kishin, I was sure that he could easily tell that I needed  to leave. That I was reminded of the town that I had been raised in. That I was terrified that BlackStar's chest wouldn't rise and fall again, that I would never see Tsubaki smile one last time. That they would all die here and now, leaving me alone to face the world.

" resonance of the soul..." Jordan started, waiting for me to say my line.

" in the name of the almighty Lord death, kishin Asura, YOU WILL PERISH!!"

I charged forward, screaming in unison with Jordan," UNISON RAID:EXICUTION!"

Pitch black vines shot from the pommel of the axe I was holding, temporarily holding down the kishin, while I swung the axe down, a blow that should have killed any kishin egg. But the blade fell from your hand and clattered to the floor.

"Jordan!" You were sure that she had felt the blow, but the toll wasn't that obvious.

"I'm fine... Try again! We can't give up now..." Jordan started, but you soon cut off her sentence.

"No. Jordan, you're too hurt! We can't risk it." You were on your feet again, and a new voice was present.

"How touching. But unfortunately you will be the one to parish tonight. Along with your precious Lord Death." The kishin's voice rang through the foggy air, causing (y/n) to shudder. But before she could even think of a new attack, a red jet of light shot hot at her. Knowing the end was near, (y/n) hut her eyes, but fealt no impact. Opening her eyes, (y/n) saw Jordan standing in front of her, the body of her miester falling, crumbling to the cracked ground.

In that moment, everything changed
