I had been coming to the Horton Youth Center for about three or four years. I had never met Rebecca before, had never even see her before, but apparently everyone else had. She was very popular. Her and her friend, Andy.

We had to get into groups based on what year we were. Me being the eighth grader I was, ended up in the same group as them. Rebecca sat next to her friend Andy. Andy sat next to me. Andy introduced the both of them and that was that. It wasn't until almost 3 months later that we actually began to talk to each other. And I'm glad we did or the upcoming camp would have been a bust because I wouldn't have had any friends.

Winter camp came along and we were all in the same cabin, I began a strong liking toward the short mature girls. They accepted me into their tiny little clique and didn't exclude anyone. They were kind. Me and Andy were friends but it was me and Rebecca, oh she liked to be called Becca for short, so me and Becca, are the ones who became really close though.

When camp ended Andy eventually stopped coming to youth because she either forgot or didn't have a ride, and me and Becca began to bond.

Becca was different and yet at the same time not original. She shopped at thrift stores and bought many things online. She was short with red hair and she was sassy as hell. She also was funny and sweet and compassionate. She was caring and very mature. She was expirenced and wise with words.

Becca was one of the coolest people I had ever met before. Becca was a positive.
