Heavy Lifting

Jacks pov

I was about 7 and my dad came home from work angry. He threw his brief case and coat at me.

"Make yourself use full for once and put my stuff away." he growled at me and I ran to his room and put it away. I was about to come back down when I heard mom and dad talking about what happened.

"What happened?" My mom asked and he growled

"Delle happened that's what!" he yelled making me flinch.

"Here let me make you some coffee and then tell me." My mom walked off and came back with mugs.

"That man is ruining me! I was told to go out and instruct the workers in Level 25 B on what is happening but when I got there he was so when I told him that's not his position he called office, I was put off and had to lift the Metal foundation. He sat there and yelled at everyone." My dad yelled.

"Honey shh don't wake up jack." Mom whispered and rested an arm on my dads muscular one.

"Do you really think I care about that kid! Id care less if he threw himself off a clift!" he yelled again and threw the mug across the room smashing the wall and breaking.

"I know that not true you love him you just have a short temper." Mom whispered back and I look over to see the flash of anger in dads eyes. He walked close to mom and slapped her making her fall.

"You are a piece of trash for speaking to me like that. If no one cares about justice then I will have to enforce some on Delle." Dad growled  I ran downstairs  while he stormed out the door getting into his car, driving off.

"Mo-mom? A-are y-you okay?" I stuttered and she looked up at my eyes and hugged me.

"Im fine honey don't worry." mom soothed my and wiped away my tears.

"Why would you let him do that to you?" I whispered and helped mom up.

"Not much I could do." she whispered back and I scrunched up my face.

"Dads a monster! Why are we still here?" I yelled raising my voice,.

"Im sorry honey that he has treated you like that I should have known he was no good. I only stayed here cause we needed the money but we have enough to leave. I want you to go up and pack your cloths and books and others just in case."  she hugged me again and then sat down in a chair. I ran upstairs and packed when I was done I hid it in my closet.

About 30 minutes later we heard sirens and knocks on the door I ran downstairs. My mom opened it and saw 4 police officers.

"Um what's the problem officers?" my mom trembled, "Are you the wife to Manny Overland?" One of them asked and she nodded.

"Your husband and two others were in an awful car accident, Your husband is in a dangerous state but hes pulling threw but the other two...well they didn't make it." the police had a straight face but softened when saying that last sentence.

"Oh....my...gracious! That's- awful!" My mom gasped and I felt a rage of anger boiling inside of me. I couldn't take it anymore so I ran up there.

"It wasn't an accident he purposely killed them for revenge!!!!! He told my mom about it!!!" I yelled and the police looked from me to my mom. 

"Yes it is true he was mad about a man at his work named Rick Delle so when I tried to calm him down he hit me and said he was going out for revenge on him." My mom teared up and burst into tears.

"this is true? Well then he will be put under trial and if he is guilty he will be arrested and charged for murder. The charges wont be placed on you if you divorce him because you wont be an Overland." he police wrote down many notes and called into his radio.

The next week we went to court to testify That he was guilty. Manny was better and we saw him being pushed threw the door. Mom divorced him and we got to stay in the house, I was not an Overland but a Frost now. (A.N im awful with court rules and jury and stuff so don't blame if I don't make sense.)

"Do you Manny Overland swear to tell the truth and only the truth?" The judge asked and he othed it and stuff but when we got to our evidence that's when I had to talk.

"Please tell us what happened. Don't leave out a detail" The judge motioned for me to step into this box thing.

"So my dad came home from his work, as a construction, business worker, and threw his coat and briefcase at me. I went upstairs and when I was about to come down I heard him yelling at my mom. He was talking about how a man, Mr. Delle was ruining him. He had to go to a site to instruct everyone but when he got there Mr. Delle was there and so he had to do the heavy lifting I think so then when my mom tried to calm him down he slapped her saying she  was a piece of trash and he didn't care about me so then I think he stormed out and I heard him say "Its time for justice to be injustice? No not that time for justice on that Delle or something. I know he wanted revenge." I finished and sometimes when I mentioned Delle I heard a burst of crying.

"Thank you I will now decide and talk with the jury." she said and walked into a room. About 10 minutes later she came out.

"Manny Overland you are.......Guilty for murdering  2 people by crashing your car into Mr. and Mrs.Delle's.10 years in prison! Charge of 40,000 dollars!" she beat her mallet and I heard him gasp and growl. He was taken away and we left.

After about 9 years me and my mom moved to Arendelle and settled into a house, I didn't go to high school yet.

So My dad killed them but when I found out that the girls parents I  killed was my partner I knew I had to fix it or try at least or pretend.

Hi everyone so yeah I kinda had trouble with this but I hope you liked it even though I skipped anna and elsa part in the trial but its still good!
