After the phone call with Director Wu Yingjie of the Public Security Bureau, Number One felt a slight sense of relief.
From Wu Yingjie's report, he was able to confirm that the individuals who had kidnapped Jiang Fan were likely not foreign spies or assassins.
With that possibility ruled out, Jiang Fan's life no longer seemed to be in imminent danger.
However, to be absolutely certain, Number One immediately made another call to the head of the military district stationed in the western outskirts of Kyoto.
Within moments, four military helicopters took off from the district and headed toward the northern suburbs.
...
At the Dragon Nation Rocket Propulsion Base, Long Lao paced anxiously in his residence.
He had just spoken to Number One again, inquiring about Jiang Fan's current situation.
Number One had informed him that the target vehicle had been identified, and the initial assessment ruled out foreign spies and assassins, meaning Jiang Fan's life was not in immediate danger.
Despite this, Long Lao remained deeply worried.
Ten years ago, he had a brilliant student who, just as he was on the verge of academic success, had abandoned his Dragon Nation citizenship and joined the Beautiful Country, serving them instead.
This had been a source of everlasting pain for Long Lao.
Now, however, he had received another exceptionally talented student in Jiang Fan, whose talents had astonished everyone over the past period.
Long Lao firmly believed that, given enough time, Jiang Fan could become the greatest scientific mind of Dragon Nation, leading the country to become a technological powerhouse on Earth.
But now, Jiang Fan had been kidnapped, his life hanging in the balance.
Long Lao wished that it were he who had been taken instead, as long as Jiang Fan remained safe.
He yearned to leave for Kyoto immediately, but he was bound by duty, for in three hours, the base was scheduled to conduct the tenth test of the rocket propulsion system, and he had a 75% chance of success.
If he left now, the hard work of the dedicated scientists at the base would be for nothing.
All he could do was silently pray for Jiang Fan's safety.
...
In an automobile factory on the northern outskirts of Kyoto, more than a dozen luxury sports cars were parked, including the Aston Martin DBS.
"Master Liang, truly a brilliant plan!"
"I thought you were frightened by that kid earlier, but it turns out you had something else up your sleeve! Hahaha..."
"Master Liang truly lives up to his reputation as the head of the Four Young Masters of Kyoto!"
Hearing these compliments, Liang Shao swirled the red wine in his glass, took a delicate sip, and scoffed,
"If it weren't for the reputation of my father, I'd have executed them right here in the street..."
As he spoke, Liang Shao's eyes lingered on Qiao Yifei's voluptuous figure and Chu Ruoxi's innocent, untouched beauty.
His tongue involuntarily flicked across his lips.
Two women of such unparalleled beauty—one with a fiery, mature allure, the other with a pure, untamed innocence—was a temptation too irresistible to ignore.
He couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to have them both beneath him.
His body responded to the thought.
He quickly reached for his phone.
"Baozi, where are you?"
"Master Liang, we'll be there in five minutes!"
"Good, there will be a reward for you."
"Ah! Thank you, Master Liang!"
After hanging up, Liang Shao let out a lascivious laugh, pulling out a small bottle from his pocket and spilling a pill into his hand.
He hesitated for a moment before taking another and swallowing both with a gulp of red wine.
The warmth spread through his body as the pills took effect, and a smug grin curled on his lips.
"Master Liang, may I discuss something with you?" asked a youth with messy dreadlocks.
"What is it, Zhang Shao?"
"Well, after you're done... could I have a turn too?"
"Zhang Shao, are you interested?"
"I like the big-breasted ones, you know that, but don't worry, I'm not asking for nothing. I'll give you this Porsche 911."
Zhang Shao said with a sycophantic tone, his true intention being to offer the Porsche as a gift to Liang Shao.
Although his family was one of the Four Great Enterprises of Kyoto, it was nowhere near as influential as the Liang family, and many of their business dealings relied on Liang Shao's support.
By ingratiating himself with him now, he was certain that his family's business would thrive.
"Since Zhang Shao is so thoughtful, I'll accept," Liang Shao grinned. "Don't worry, as long as you follow me, you'll never go hungry."
"Thank you, Master Liang! From now on, you're like a brother to me!"
The two exchanged a knowing look and shared a lewd smile.
As the rolling door lifted, two black business cars entered.
Liang Shao suppressed his excitement, standing up immediately.
The cars came to a halt, and a burly man escorted Qiao Yifei out.
His subordinates followed, bringing Chu Ruoxi and Jiang Fan with them.
"Master Liang, I've brought them."
"Well done!"
Liang Shao gestured with his hand, and one of his men tossed a bundle of money at the burly man.
"Thank you for the tip, Master Liang!"
Baozi picked up the money, grinning.
As Jiang Fan stepped out of the car, he immediately recognized the group—those were the same people who had been in the sports cars earlier.
Qiao Yifei shot a fierce look at Liang Shao, stammering as if she wanted to say something.
Liang Shao gestured for her to be silenced.
This was his turf, and no one could escape.
Baozi removed the gag from Qiao Yifei's mouth.
"I advise you to release us now, or you'll regret it," she said defiantly.
The group burst into laughter.
Liang Shao sneered, "Do you know who I am?"
"I don't care who you are," Qiao Yifei replied coldly.
As a renowned researcher, she knew Jiang Fan's significance.
He had developed the 1-nanometer chip and received the nation's highest honors, making him a national treasure.
Anyone who dared lay a finger on him was directly opposing the state.
That was why she spoke with such confidence.
Zhang Shao, noticing her words caused her chest to rise and fall enticingly, swallowed hard and took a step forward.
"Let me introduce you—this is Master Liang, the most handsome and charming of the Four Young Masters of Kyoto. Serve him well, and I guarantee you'll live a life of luxury."
"Pah! A bunch of street thugs!"
Qiao Yifei spat, her disdain obvious.
Liang Shao clapped his hands in appreciation. "Such fiery spirit, I like it."
They were used to women throwing themselves at them, but Qiao Yifei's defiance only fueled Liang Shao's desire.
Jiang Fan, struggling to speak, realized what was happening.
This Liang Shao had brought them here to have his way with Qiao Yifei and Chu Ruoxi.
But Qiao Yifei's resistance would only enrage them further.
Liang Shao, seeing Jiang Fan trying to speak, ordered his men to remove the gag.
"How much will it take for you to let us go?"
The men all laughed uproariously.
"With those rags you're wearing, can you even afford a thousand?"
Jiang Fan, however, remained calm.
"Ten million."
