The day continues. During the teachers' break, you listen to some music, leaving the hustle and bustle of the previous class behind. It was funny how Jake's laugh could be heard through your headphones.

You admired him, for his joy, his smile, he always spoke what was on his mind and enlightened everyone, even the quietest ones he made them smile.

You turned up the sound to focus. Looking ahead, you soon feel someone's eyes on you. Heeseung stared at you as he turned to talk to Jay at the back table.

His heart started to beat quickly, until he broke his gaze with a shy smile and laughing like a fool to himself. Not that you weren't embarrassed. If he hadn't been so lost in himself, he would have seen that his face was also red.

Soon he focuses on the game Jay was playing. Why did you feel like something had finally changed between the two of you?

Right at the end of class, you and Soobin headed towards the court. Soobin wanted to find Jay. Right when Heeseung spots you, a huge smile fills his face.

"They came?" Says Heeseung.

Jay then went to meet the two.

"What are you doing here?" he asks.

"My mom wanted me to hand it over to you, and I didn't want to hold it the whole game."

"Ah, okay, I'll keep it"

Soobin walked ahead, you were soon going to catch up to her, when Heeseung ran up to you.

"Hi Y/N" He says approaching and playing with the basketball, cautiously throwing it upwards.

Now facing you, he felt like doing something. He throws the ball upwards again, but a little more angled towards you, threatening to bounce off your head. But then his arms went over your head, catching the ball before anything happened.

This movement forced him get close to you, with his arms above your shoulders holding the ball behind your head. With the excuse of a slight imbalance, he moves a little closer, now with your bodies pressed together.

He looks into your eyes, unable to hold back a smile and the admiration in his eyes.

"Sorry" He says with a small smile, not pulling or looking away. You stayed like that for a moment until Jay made a forced cough, forcing you to separate.

Your heart was racing and you didn't know what to do. You just stood there while Jay stared at the two of you. It was then that your leg acted on its own and quickly ran towards Soobin, who didn't notice anything that had happened.

"You're going well man" Jay says impressed, patting Heeseung's shoulder.

At the time of the basketball match, Heeseung and Jay look at you smiling widely. You could feel the girls' eyes on you. But you decided not to pay attention to it.

At the end of the game, when practically everyone had left, they came to you.

"Wow, you're so sweaty Jay, I can smell you from here. I bet those girls would LOVE to see your sweat up close" Soobin says while Heeseung sits next to you, and Jay next to Heeseung, both opposite Soobin.

"Why did you come here then?..." Jay continues to retort while you and Heeseung look at each other and laugh at their show.

Lifting your eyes back to his, you notice your shoulders touching, his gaze on you, and his smile. Your heart beats fast, just like minutes ago.

Little did you know that Heeseung's did too.

“Heeseung, do you think I smell bad?” Jay asks, glaring at Soobin, but soon after receiving no answer, he looks at him and notices the mood between you.

He pushes Heeseung's shoulder, making him unbalance and move closer to you.

"Ohh, you're so in love" Jay comments.

With your eyes still on Heeseung, you see his ears turning red and his Adam's Apple moving up and down in nervousness.

-S-Soobin, I'm going to the bathroom. - And so you go out trying to calm down.

On your way home, while you were lost in thought, you receive a call.

-Hey! Jake! What happened?

("Hi Y/N, yeah. Ummmm. Is that... hang out still up?")

You went to get a milkshake at an ice cream maker and stopped to sit at a table.

"How is it? Good?"

-Yes. I love this. So... what made you change your mind?

"I just missed hanging out with you, like old times"

-Awwww Jakey. You're cute, you know that?

He blushes a little at your words and gives a shy smile.

"Am I?"

-Hm - You smile tenderly at him. He starts to giggle little, infecting you.

Your phone vibrates on the table. You both looked at the screen, seeing that it was a message from Heeseung. Your heart races.

Hey baby:
Hey!
Did you get home safety?
How are you?
Can we start the study tomorrow?

You start to answer him, when Jake asks:

“So… you and Heeseung... what are you?"
