You walked into the studio for another day of your job at a record label.
"Hey y/n," Your boss says to you as you walk in the door, setting your bag and notebook on the couch. You take off your coat and sigh at the spilled coffee stain on your white blouse.
"Morning Mrs. Carter," I reply back.
"Today you will be working with Halsey," she says not looking up from her work.
"What? But you know that we do not get along," I say out of frustration. Ever since Halsey and I met, it's been almost like war between us. Snide comments and eye rolls are given to the other every time they even
Mrs. Carter just shrugs and walks out of the room, mumbling something about how you two need to get over your petty disagreement.
Halsey came in the room and immediately started laughing.
"So.. It looks like someone couldn't keep their coffee in their hands this morning," she says chucking.
"Fuck off. I'm not in the mood today," I tell the blue haired girl.
"I was just trying to make a joke. Calm down," she says hurt. I sigh. Her feelings can't hurt. It's all an act, we hate each other.
"You know. I don't hate you," Halsey says looking over at me from writing lyrics in her notebook.
"Oh really now," I respond not really paying attention.
"I like you, that's why I'm mean to you. Juvenile, and a bit childish, I know, but it gets your attention," she says looking at me expectantly.
She sighs frustratedly when I don't say anything. But what am I supposed to say. A girl who I thought I hated me and vice versa, just told me that she likes me.
She slowly leans in and puts her hand to my face and kisses me. wow. How do I even respond to that? Oh right. I should probably kiss her back.
"And plus you're pretty cute when you're mad at me," she says giggling when she pulls away. I blush at the compliment.
You smile at her and kiss her again, all while thanking your boss for scheduling you for writing with her.
