Jungkook spent the next few days trying to wrap his head around the sudden and bewildering shift in his life. He began by picking up a diary, despite Jimin's persistent protests that he should be resting and recovering from his partial amnesia.
"You need to stop stressing yourself out, little spark," Jimin scolded, arms crossed as he hovered by the bed. "You've been through enough. You should be focused on healing, not scribbling nonsense."
But Jungkook couldn't let it go. According to Jimin, they had found him three days ago, lying unconscious at the bottom of a staircase. They assumed he'd taken a tumble after getting a bit tipsy-"just a small portion," Jimin had clarified, his tone almost accusing.
The problem was, Jungkook didn't remember any of that. Then again, maybe it was because he wasn't who they thought he was. He wasn't some nobleman with a tragic accident behind him. He wasn't even supposed to be in this world at all.
But explaining that felt impossible, so he let Jimin fuss. Instead, he focused on the diary, using it to untangle the mess his life had become. He wrote down everything he could remember about the webtoon he had been reading before waking up here.
The title was You're My Only, a ridiculously cheesy name for what he had once dismissed as a trashy romance. Why had he even picked it up? He regretted it more than ever now.
He scrawled the details:
1. Male lead: Kim Taehyung, the emperor.
2. Female lead: Lee Hwayoung.
3. Villain: Me.
4. Villain's allies: Jimin (not this Jimin, the webtoon Jimin, who was apparently "bestie" material for villains) and Yoongi.
