Kartik got up after Aarohi slept and kissed her forehead. He went out. His smile fell seeing Naira glaring at him.
"What?" He asked her.
"I heard you say to her you won't meet Akshu?" She said crossing her arms.
Kartik held her and took her away so that Aarohi doesn't get disturbed.
"I said I won't make her meet Akshu. But I won't stop seeing my daughter of course", he said.
"Then why can't Aarohi see her? Akshu is very upset and wants to meet her", Naira said.
"I also went them to meet Naira but Aaru is not in the right state of mind and doesn't want to meet Akshu. I won't force her just because Akshu wants it. Moreover, it's better they stay away otherwise Aarohi might say something in anger", he said calmly.
"So? You will stay quiet when she says things to our daughter?" Naira snapped.
Kartik looked at her in disbelief.
"Why are you making a big deal out of this? And putting words by yourself? I never said I will stay silent. I even tried telling Aaru to meet Akshu. But I don't want Akshu hurt or Aaru sad. If Aaru will say something to Akshu, I will stop her and she will take wrong meaning out of it. She is already very insecure. We need to give her time", he said.
"Kartik! Aarohi is wrong in blaming Akshu and you should clear her misunderstanding not encourage it", she said.
"I am not promoting it Naira. But there is a right time for things. Saying right now will just trigger her hate and anger. It's not even a day since she lost Sirat. Don't be so insensitive Naira", he said upset.
"I am just looking out for our daughter. Earlier I supported you thinking you will explain Aaru but here I saw something else. I won't tolerate her hurting our Akshu, Kartik", Naira said sternly.
"When am I telling you to bear it? I am requesting you to not make these two meet and let Aarohi realise the reality. I will explain her the accident. You are clearly misunderstanding everything", Kartik said annoyed.
"If I am misunderstanding then clear it. Make Aarohi understand that she is unnecessarily blaming Akshu. I can't see our daughter crying", Naira said angrily.
"She has misunderstood things Naira. She doesn't have a hobby to hate her sister and I told you already that she will understand with time. I will meet Akshu and calm her down", Kartik said wanting to just go because Naira was clearly not ready to understand.
"She doesn't want anyone except Aarohi", Naira exclaimed furiously. "She cares so much for her and here is Aarohi. This is unfair".
"Aarohi also cares for Akshu. She misunderstood the accident to be Akshu's fault because Sirat ran towards Akshu when she stumbled. Will you stop blaming my daughter for everything? She has just lost her mother", Kartik shouted back.
He had enough!
"Kartik! Misunderstanding grow with time. You should clear it right now rather than letting it get strong. I am not blaming Aarohi but I am a mother as well!" Naira said firmly.
Kartik took a deep breath and held her by her shoulders. "Naira. She's already insecure that she maybe an outsider because of that bitch Sheela. I can't let her get triggered. Once she gets firm resolve that she's an outsider, it will be difficult to bring her back. I also don't like Aaru blaming Akshu but we have to give time to Aarohi to understand things. You can't just understand that, can you?" He asked furiously.
"Sheela?" Naira said confused.
"Sheela is Sirat's mother and a total bitch. Sirat hated her but she never left us especially after Aarohi was born. She tried to poison Aarohi's mind but we kept her away. I don't know how she contacted Aarohi but she wants to take her back. You tell me! Will she not misunderstand me if at this weak stage, I insist her to understand that accident? She will end up misunderstanding that I don't love her and I can't bear that", Kartik said strictly.
"It's good Kartik. You should send her for a while to her Nani's house. She will get a good environment and will be ready to understand things. Here, she will be reminded of Sirat's death. Things will settle soon", Naira said. "And Akshu won't have to see her daily and feel pained thinking she's at fault when she isn't. It's good for both".
"Are you crazy?" Kartik screamed.
Naira flinched visibly hearing his loud voice and seeing his glare fixed on her.
"How dare you even think I will send my daughter away?! Especially when she needs me the most! This is what you have found out? The solution! Send Aarohi away! Wow! How fair! Set it in your mind clearly Naira. Aarohi won't step even a foot out of this house in my presence. You are no one! Hear me clearly! You are no one to decide that Aarohi will go away from her own house", Kartik said.
"Then what? You want to send Akshu away?" Naira cried.
Kartik widened his eyes.
"What the hell? What has happened to you? When did I say that? It's Akshu's house as well. Why will she go away? Neither of them will go away from this house", Kartik said.
"Kartik! Akshu is our daughter. Think about her! She's just a child and getting blamed of death! She will feel so terrible daily and will Aarohi stay quiet seeing her? Why don't you send her away for a while? Aarohi will get love there and Akshu will get free from the haunting blames of killing Sirat", Naira said.
Kartik shook his head in disgust.
"Just look at yourself Naira. Just look at yourself. You are discriminating between both the daughters just because Aarohi isn't yours right? Aarohi won't go anywhere. It's final. And I won't let Aarohi say anything to Akshu. That's my promise. But I won't let anyone of you do injustice to my Aaru. And I will explain my Akshu that she is not at fault. But you don't get the right to say anything you want. I don't want to talk to you right now", Kartik said and went pass her.
But Naira stood there.
"I won't let Akshu suffer, Kartik. I won't. Even if it means by sending Aarohi away".
