The moment the boy cries, Yoongi's heart clenches. It may not seem like it but internally, Yoongi feels so guilty as he painstakingly wipes Daehyun's globs of tears from his cheeks.

"Why are you crying?"

"B-because you don't want me anymore."

Slowly, Yoongi kneels down in front of the boy, peering through his little face with his kindest gaze.

"Did I ever say that?" His voice is but a whisper, soothingly gentle.

"You want us away to grandma." The child hiccups with his crunched-up nose and tightly furrowed brows.

With total surrender, he grabs Dae-hyun close, tapping his back so gently and hushing words so softly. "I just want you to play with grandma, I thought you'll like it."

This morning, the boy, along with his sisters, was excitedly jumping around. He thought that the prospect of spending their weekends with their halmeoni was something he looked forward to. He ought to ask what changed his mind only for the boy to utter his reason.

"But what about Su-jin? Why can't she come with us?"

"Buddy, little Su-jin is so tiny, she still can't play with you." Hoseok voices so tenderly before Yoongi can.

It was Hoseok who first noticed Dae-hyun's unusual quietness, always glancing worriedly at his youngest sister on his mother's arms from time to time while she was breastfeeding before his face contorted and, as if embarrassed, quickly went hiding to his bedroom. Daun noticed his behavior as well and wordlessly asks them to follow the boy. What they saw as soon as they set foot inside his room was Dae-hyun, sulking adorably with his dinosaur books within his fort of plushies. And as soon as he noticed his appas, he sobbed loudly.

"You can't play as you can with grandma if Su-jin too will be there." Yoongi seconds.

The boy, with his roundest tearful puppy eyes, gleaming with so much helplessness, looks at his fathers and answers.

"She will be alone and sad."

It was a dart flicked through the center of his chest. A bullseye.

"Okay." Yoongi helplessly sighs. "If you don't want to go to grandma, then you can stay here."

Dae-hyun adorably tilts his head and asks. "Really?"

Yoongi rustles the boys head and gummily smiles. "We can play here just whatever you want."

"How about Ju-hyun-ah and Ji-hyun-ah?"

Yoongi watches the endeared smile on Hoseok's face before he gazes through the meaning of Dae-hyun's question on his eyes. "Let's ask first your sisters about that. And if they won't go as well, then, they'll stay."

Dae-hyun sniffs whilst nodding. His face has brightened up.

"Dae-hyun-ah." Yoongi sweetly calls his attention, earning him a pair of wide marbling eyes looking earnestly at him. "Appa always wants you, okay? Appa loves you so much. Appa will never want you away. All appa want is for you to be happy."

A bright smile paints on the little boy's lips, then with all his heart, he jumps, embracing his appa's neck. And with a tooth decaying smile, Yoongi tenderly kisses the boy's crown, saying. "Always remember that appa loves you, okay?" He sees Hoseok nodding. A heart smile on his face. "All of your appas love you so much and eomma too."

"Thank you appa." He nods.

"Hmn..." Yoongi hums, helplessly melting. Hoseok's and Daun's chuckles resounds. The latter makes him look at the door with their beautiful wife's amused crescent eyes.
