One Must Be Willing To Repair The Path

A week has passed since Y/n and the others had their fight. Y/n was now resting on the cliff with California. He played with her hair as she rested her head on his lap. In his eyes, one could faintly see heart-shaped pupils. Perhaps, all the emotional trauma he went through has caused him to gain a Yandere-ish persona. California was oblivious to this for she was too busy enjoying the attention Y/n was giving her. Then, subtle footsteps on the grass alerted Y/n of someone coming. He looked up from Cali and saw the Commander. She was walking towards them with a file in hand.

"Y/n, Cali, sorry to interrupt but I have a mission to brief you on, Y/n"

"... ... What mission, commander?"

"Well, it's just a subjugate mission. For further information, you need to follow me to the meeting room back at base"

"... ... Can I decline? I'd rather spend my time with Cali"

"... Well, you can but you won't be able to earn any gems if you decline"

"... ... ..."

"So, will you follow me to the meeting room, Y/n?"

Without much of a choice, Y/n had to accept her request. He needed to have some way to generate income. He can't exactly spoil Cali if he doesn't have the money to buy what she likes. Then again, he can always spoil her with his affection. 

"It's okay, dear. You can go with the commander. I have things to do today anyways"

"... ... Okay, dear. I love you. I'll see you later, love"

Y/n said that with a loving tone. He smiled before kissing her forehead. He sits Cali up and stands up after them. Y/n looked at the commander and nodded at her to show the way. Y/n waved bye to Cali and vice versa. 

They walked into the Azurlane base and Alice noticed Y/n was quiet. She looked at him and noticed a faint heart-shaped pupil forming in his eyes. She has read plenty of material, but seeing it in person was another experience. Y/n noticed that she was staring and looked at her.

"What's the matter, Commander?"

"... ...Nothing, Y/n"

Y/n nods and they continue to walk towards HQ. Soon, they arrive at the meeting room and Alice walks in. Y/n walked in shortly after and surveyed those also in the meeting room. In the room were the leaders of each faction.
