Comatose.

- Awoken -

I snuggled into my cocoon-like sleeping bag. Jake and I had just came back from rescuing Slime Princess from Ice King. Glob, Ice King never gives up does he? Yawning, I said goodnight to Jake and fell asleep, wondering what kind of adventures await us tomorrow.

A soft beeping woke me up. I opened my eyes a bit and white light flooded in, almost blinding me. When I adjusted to it I opened my eyes fully. Where in Ooo am I? I glanced around, it looked just like the hospital in the Candy Kingdom, but much more... cold. Wait, a hospital? Did something happen back at the tree-house? I attempted to sit up when I felt the aching pain shoot through me. I lay back down, resolving not to move anymore. Anyway PB should be walking over now- ah, I can hear footsteps already.

When the curtain was yanked back, I was not prepared for a woman to be standing there. Don't get me wrong, if it was a candy person, i wouldn't have been so surprised. I mean, after all, I'm suppose to be in the Candy Kingdom, right? But no, she was human, like me. Her hair was a shiny blonde, but her eyes had dark bags under it and she looked like she hasn't had much sleep in a long time. I took a second glance and realised that she was tearing up. Afraid of who this lady might be, I didn't utter a word. We stayed like that for a long time when another female voice broke the silence.

"Mum? What are you doing standing there? Look, he's not going to wake up, can't you-" She paused mid-sentence. This newcomer had very long blonde hair, identical to the lady next to her, or what she had called her 'Mum'. I had to admit, the younger girl was really pretty, but also strikingly familiar... After everyone was quiet for a long time, I decided to prevent things from getting even more awkward.

"Uh... Hi, can someone explain to me where I am? And what happened to me? By the way, where's Jake? I promised to go with him to visit Lady Rainacorn." I said, wondering if the 2 ladies would actually respond to me. What I did not expect was for the lady to run over to my bed and hug me, tears rolling down her face. I froze, trying to figure out why this lady was crying and repeating the same phrase over and over.

It's been 7 years and my son has finally come back to me.

When the chaos died down, the lady went off to get some doctor called Dr. James and I was left alone with the younger girl. We both examined one another. She also had light blue eyes, and wore a light blue t-shirt matched with very dark navy blue shorts. She also had on white sneakers. I looked at her hair again and realised that my own hair was way past normal hair-length. She coughed and I looked up.

"Well... you're finally awake. Do you remember anything? Anything at all?" She asked, her face emotionless.

"Uh, my name's Finn, I live in a tree-house in the Candy Kingdom with my best friend, Jake the Dog, who talks-" I stopped when I saw the incredulous look on her face.

"I don't know what you're talking about, but we don't have a dog called Jake. His name is Jay and we also have a cat called Cakie. By the way, since I think you can't remember, my name's Fiora and I'm your twin sister, you can call me Fifi if you like. That's what you always used to call me." I sat, once again, frozen. Twin sister? I had a sibling? Fiora, Fiora, why does that name sound so familiar? I put my head in my hands, all this thinking was giving me a headache, but the action quickly brought my 'sister' to my bedside, wondering what was wrong.

"What's happening? I went to sleep and woke up to this? Is my name even Finn?" I muttered, not expecting an answer.

"Uh, well, everyone calls you Finn but your real name is Griffin Tyler Herondale. I know, weird name. What can I say? Mum's weird too." I could see that she was nervous, like she's never talked to anyone before. Or maybe she's just never talked to me before. I braced myself and got straight to the point.

"Fiora? What's happened? Why am I in a hospital? Where's BMO and all the others? Who are you?"

She glanced down at her shoes and took a slow breath, before telling me the entire story.
